Gliding Wings question

One of the characters I'm currently playing is a custom race that has gliding wings. As a sorcerer, can I use one of the class's available wind spells to lift myself up? If so, which one would work best (besides winds of vengeance since that would let a sorcerer fly even without wings)?

Still looking for a weigh-in if there are any takers.

The Red Mantis use a glider that can get a boost from feather fall.
