I purchased a Ring of the Ram with my paladin. Love it. But I have some doubts mostly regarding the smite evil feature..

I guess you add any proper bonus to the attack and then add the level to the damage, but what about the bull rush? The ring has a base bull rush attack of +17. But can it be improved with spells like Good Hope or the smite evil feature?
[This gives the ram a Combat Maneuver Bonus of +17. The ram gains a +1 bonus on the bull rush attempt if 2 charges are expended, or +2 if 3 charges are expended.]
[When you attempt to perform a combat maneuver, make an attack roll and add your CMB in place of your normal attack bonus. Add any bonuses you currently have on attack rolls due to spells, feats, and other effects. These bonuses must be applicable to the weapon or attack used to perform the maneuver.]
So, if I have a charisma of 20 and a bonus of +5, would you roll with a +22 in the bullrush attempt?
The ring makes attack completely separate form you.
Nothing that affects you affects that combat maneuver from the ring because it is the force emanating from the ring that performs the maneuver, not you.
So, it is only ever a +17 CMB (well +18 with 2 charge or +19 with 3 charges), which you add a d20 roll to, to determine success or failure of the bullrush maneuver.
The most important thing here is you are not performing the combat maneuver. You activated an item that is.
Do I know of any spell? No, can't say that I do.
You would need a spell that targets object, that provides a bonus to combat maneuvers.
I can almost guarantee something like that doesn't exist, but I don't know everything (or every spell). But since combat maneuvers are generally something that creatures do (not objects) and objects are something that don't normally do combat maneuvers, you end up with a situation where its very unlikely you can get any additional bonus to the combat maneuver with the ring.
A better route improve this is to look for methods to lower the targets CMD.
