There seems to be an issue with the wording on Spring-Heeled Style. The feat requires either "shot on the run" or "spring attack" to take, but does not actually work with either of those feats. I believe this to be an error.
The wording of this feat requires a move action, but shot on the run and spring attack are full-round actions. The later progressions of this feat specifically work with shot on the run or spring attack.
Am I incorrect in my assessment? If so please explain, otherwise please mark this for faq

Actually, later progression shows that you were most likely supposed to be able to use Spring-Heeled Style in conjunction with SA or SotR from the get-go.
You can move quickly without sacrificing your offense. Prerequisites: Dex 15, Dodge, Mobility, Shot on the Run or Spring Attack, Spring-Heeled Style, base attack
bonus +7, proficiency with light armor.
Benefit: While using Spring-Heeled Style, you can move up to twice your speed when using the Shot on the Run or Spring Attack feats.
Note that it does not say "you can now use these feats together", it just outright says you double the movement while using those feats while using the style, implying that you should have always been able to use them together.

Also the special line says this:
A character with the armor training class feature can use Spring-Heeled Style while wearing any type of armor with which she is proficient.
I don't know the point of this line because there is no implication in the feat that it doesn't work with non-light armor (unless that's something inherit of style feats)

This is the flaw of looking things up on a site - they're stripped of important context. :(
Not judging you for it, of course; just saying.
These armor fighting styles are embodied by style feats, following the usual rules for such feats as described on page 78 of Pathfinder RPG Ultimate Combat. Instead of requiring Improved Unarmed Strike as a prerequisite, however, all armor fighting styles require proficiency in light, medium, or heavy armor as a prerequisite.
Armor style feats can be used only while wearing armor whose type matches the feat’s armor proficiency prerequisite, disregarding any changes resulting from the armor’s material. These feats count as style feats for all other purposes.

Spring-Heeled Style grants a bonus (Mobility AC bonus against AoO from ranged attacks/reloads) to Shot on the Run and the other feats in the Spring-Heeled chain when used with Shot on the Run.
The other bonus it grants, +2 bonus on weapon attack rolls when taking a move action to move 10 or more feet, seems like it was probably intended to similarly apply to Spring Attack (which also has a 10' movement requirement) and the Spring-Heeled feats when used with Spring Attack.
The words "move action" can refer to an action that allows you to move your speed, an action which takes a similar amount of time, OR any action involving movement (e.g. 5' step or charge). In this case, it seems clear to me that the last meaning must be the intent. Otherwise, Spring-Heeled Style always provides a benefit when used with Shot on the Run, but never provides a benefit when used with Spring Attack.
They were just trying to briefly re-state Spring Attack's 10' movement requirement in a way that would apply to both the base speed move of Spring Attack and the double speed move of Spring-Heeled Sprint.

If you check out the PFS Additional Resources page, it has this ruling:
"The Spring- Heeled Style feat also functions when using a full-round action to use the Spring Attack feat."
The ruling is only specifically for PFS, but since this is a Player's Companion book, official errata/clarification is gonna be slow coming (if at all), so I suggest using the PFS fix for it if you want Spring-Heeled Style to be more functional in home games.
