All right I finally get to play a game after so long of GMing, and our new GM had us all roll backgrounds with him. Somehow I got both lucky and unlucky and rolled up noble background as a minor prince. Problem is I'm also an Elf, and he's trying to go as close to Pathfinder lore as he can.
For Elves though, there is only one queen in the Inner sea, and she currently has no family. So right now I'm open to suggestions.
For more information we are going to be playing Legacy of Fire set in Katapesh (where there are already very few elves)
I'm playing an Elven cleric, though I'm kinda flexible on which god to worship, though for the time being I chose Ketephys.
Some people have already suggested making my character from Jinin in Tian Xia. But I really don't know much about them other then the fact that the Elves that remained behind during Starfall fled there through underground tunnels hundreds of years ago, and have since adopted the Samurai way and become more lawful then their counterparts, though they are still isolationists and only deal with others to trade Mithral, so if I did lean to that it would still bring up other questions like:
What royal families do they have?
What gods to they worship?
and Why the heck is my isolationist Royal butt in Katapesh (Guess that could be easily explained since I would still play Chaotic :) )

Unfortunately, I have no Pathfinder lore or history to contribute. As for being a prince, it's possible that despite what is known about the elven queen, maybe she does have an offspring somewhere (maybe not, I don't know). I guess it depends on just how hard they nailed that down in her history.
Possibly you are the child of a legitimate ruler who was either replaced by the current queen or whose family was thought lost (I am also not sure on how titles are passed down when succession change hands.) Perhaps your immediate family was on a pilgrimage or diplomatic mission to Katapesh and attacked by raiders/assassins/etc. and they thought all members were slain, but your mother or just you were found but no one knew who you were and you were too young to remember.
You rolled the background, so in all fairness you should be using it if possible. There's no need for you to be an elven prince of an elven land however. Perhaps you were somehow legitimately adopted (in a method that grants you rights to claim the title of king or whatever) by a human ruler or family. I mean, there could be 2 to 15 people ahead of you; legitimate children, illegitimate children, officials, etc. It could only be theoretical that you ever become king (perhaps why you went into the clergy), but you're still a prince.

How about a thrawl prince, held and raised by Queen Galfrey of Mendev following a war some 60 years ago. Raised as a member of the royal household but, upon reaching the adulthood (for an elf), being asked to leave the royal court as there is no longer a royal family with whom to bargain over your return. You must now wander the world of Golarion trying to regain your thrown and rightful place in society.
