I just came across this in the Obsidian forums, and it occurred to me that I have no idea how it should resolve:
"Collapsed Ceiling, if undefeated, is on top of the location deck face up and treated as the top card for things like the Spyglass, Augury and the like. That's correct by rules clarifications. If Seelah uses her ability to look at the top card, though, the Ceiling is returned to the deck face down afterward instead of being returned face up. Should it be returned face up instead? If she encounters the Ceiling and then turns it face down at the end of her turn, another character could use Augury to move it to the bottom of the location deck or shuffle it back in, whereas if it remains face up it can be scryed upon but not shuffled back in."
Any input is appreciated.

Sometimes a card is left faceup on the top of the location deck... The card is still in the deck, but it can be shuffled into the deck only when the condition that caused it to be left faceup on the deck has been resolved.
The only thing that would change the card to no longer being faceup on top of the deck is resolving the condition, no other powers can affect it. Examining a card means you put it back as you found it, which includes faceup status. So, the power should return the card faceup to the top of the deck.
If the Obsidian game is doing otherwise, that seems like a bug.
