Gnomes of Golarion question

Are the weapons from Gnomes of Golarion consider Gnome Weapons for the racial weapon training?

I don't see them listed as such, but it would also be rather redundant to list all the weapons in the book as "Gnome." They are certainly described as being for gnomes. Plus that weapons section seems to be missing lots of other text...

Unfortunately, no. If gnome isn't in the name, it doesn't count.

Check the description of each, though, to see if it has the (redundant) text from the gnome hooked hammer. ^_^

I saw another thread out there once in which, if I recall correctly, one of the Devs said that language was accidentally left out of this book that would have had all these weapons be martial for Gnomes.

Not in the weapon's name, no.

Though it's on a table titled "Gnome Weapons" which is in a section titled "Combat: Gnome Weapons" and the descriptions start with a titled "Gnome weapons and armor."

There's also one weapon weapon described but not given a profile and another weapon given a profile but not described.

So I figured it was worth asking...

PS: The Halflings of Golarion book doesn't list Halfling in the profile, but does have a note in the header that says they qualify as halfling weapons. Though, their header is "new slings and ammunition" and the table is unnamed.

I only own the two race books, but it does seem like the intention is that all the weapons in the race books qualify as weapons for that race's familiarity.

Still trying to find the post...

"Gnome" Weapons affected would be:

Flickmace (no description)
Battle Ladder
Flailpole
Piston Maul
Ripsaw Glaive
Flash Thrower
Shrillshaft Javelin
Switchscythe (no profile, so unclear if it would be affected)

All are listed as exotic weapons (aside from the Switchscythe).

Actually the thread I was thinking of a Dev chimed in but didn't give a final answer. I found another thread that gave the opposite if what we would like :(

Well, thanks for looking. I've also looked into this one, seems like this book really needs an errata.

Still, as written I think I could make a pretty easy case that it was a gnome weapon to the GM in a session, should it come up, just due to them printing "Gnome Weapons" three times in big letters in the two pages that cover these guys.

Plus, they are pretty iffy weapons for Gnomes if they have to burn feats in order to use them (because gnomes have low strength and are small). These weapons definitely seem geared around allowing Gnome fighters and barbarians to be on more equal footing.

Thanks.

And for those that look this one up later:

Unless a weapon has the word "gnome" in its actual name, it's not a free martial weapon to a gnome.

Just means that none of those weapons in the Gnomes of Golarion are very practical weapons for Gnome characters....Awesome weapons for my half-orc.
