Arcane Caster - Animal Companion

Is it possible to have the above without Sorcerer levels or the eldritch heritage sylven line?

I'm pretty sure there are feats for it. I'll post them if I find them.

EDIT: The Animal Ally feat ought to do the trick.

Stack that with the Boon Companion feat and you can have a companion just as tough as the druid's in only three feats.

Alternative options include the feat Companion Figurine and variant multiclassing with druid. Note that Eldritch Heritage (sylvan) does not work.
