Variant Multiclassing, from Pathfinder Unchained.
In regard to the original question, the main problem you have is that you would have to gain your ability to cast 1st level divine spells from another source, since the VMC option only gives you a single zero level spell. You may as well dip into the oracle class instead.

Yo dawg, I herd you liek to say "VMC?". So I posted a link to it.
As for how Rage Prophet would add up with an Oracle VMC...
The Oracle Mystery, depending on which one you pick, gives you bonus spells. The Rage Prophet allows you to add spells from a set list to the Mystery Spells you could normally cast, with their levels mentioned in the list.
The Oracle's Curse, since you are prohibited from taking levels in Oracle, means it's equal to half your character level. So, a 10th level character counts as a 5th level Oracle for effects related to their Curse. The Rage Prophet class feature, Savage Seer, says you add your Rage Prophet Levels to your Oracle Levels for determining the effects of a Curse. Keep in mind, however, that you do not have any Oracle levels, meaning you would use the higher of your Rage Prophet levels or your VMC Oracle Levels (as it only stacks with Oracle Levels, not other stuff, like your VMC). So, a Barbarian 5/Cleric 1/Rage Prophet 10, would only be a Level 10 Oracle for his effects, whereas with the VMC, you would be considered Level 13 (Half your level + 5).
The Oracle's Revelations, which if you take the VMC, you can never take the Extra Revelation feat, equals your Character Level - 6 (minimum 1). The Savage Seer class feature follows the same clause regarding Curses with Revelations, meaning your Rage Prophet levels will not stack with whatever effective Oracle Level you get from your VMC (because it's not actual Oracle levels). So, a Barbarian 5/Cleric 1/Rage Prophet 10, would be equal grounds, as between Rage Prophet levels and their VMC scaling, they are considered a Level 10 Oracle for Revelation effects and eligibility, though with more character levels, the VMC will win out (being considered level 14 by the endgame).
**EDIT** Re-reading, I think Rage Prophet doesn't even count as regular Oracle or Barbarian levels for those things period, it just increases what you already have, so it might not even give you a flat level increase in regards to Revelations, Curses, and Rage Powers unless you take levels and acquire the relevant class features.

I don't think the Prestige class character levels would stack with the Variant Multiclassing effective oracle levels for revelations or curses.
What kind of build are you looking at? Are you leveling into cleric or druid for spellcasting?
I was actually looking at the Wild Stalker Ranger for an odd what if kind of scenario.
...
Hm, good to know.
