The Uncanny Ninja

Advice

I was wondering if you guys could point me in the right direction.

I am thinking of Gestalt Idea for a not so sneaky Orc Ninja(tentative race, but str bonus is good) that Pelts people at close range.

The concept of the character is:
-High Strength
-Belt of Mighty hurling(lesser)
-shurikens

Then
Picking up the flurry of stars ninja trick to get 2 extra throws off a full round action.

so say a lv6 character with 18 str it would be
1d2+4, 1d2+4, 1d2+4.

The part that I stumped about is the second Gestalt Class.
I have been mulling over the following:

-Warpriest to increase the shuriken damage to d8's and maybe picking up the air blessing.

-Some kind of monk to flurry of blows to combine with the flurry of shurikens(ninja trick).

-Brawler for the Full Bab and also brawlers flurry.

Also, I not to familiar with thrown weapons, but would rapid shot and point blank work off shurikens?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Since you're gestating I have a perfect solution for you.

Abandon the shurikens, you want Starknives. They basically look like large 4 pointed shurikens anyways. Or the windmill kunai from Naruto. Thanks to ultimate intrigue there is a feat that allows you to add dex to damage with starknives.

And the fighter built around throwing weapons (specifically starknives) will be the perfect support for the throwing mechanics of the build. Ninja can give you all the sneaky ninja goodness stuff you want.

And it just so happens for you, that I'll already built a thrown weapons based fighter that would just be perfect for this occasion.

Link to build.

Build that and gestalt it with ninja. The only modification that needs to be made is to get the feat from Ultimate Intrigue that allows you to add dex to damage with Starknives. Ultimate Intrigue wasn't public when I built my character.

Double Edit: Now that I've downloaded and purchased Ultimate Intrigue and seen the feat Starry Grace which allows dex to damage, you'll want to drop the TWF portion of my build and pick up Starry Grace, and when available you'll want to pick up Startoss Style.

As a general piece of advice, thrown weapon builds are basically archery builds that require extra feats as a feat tax to do it.

You need quick draw (unless you are specifically using shurikens, but then you wont have enchanted shurikens because its a waste of money). You need ricochet toss, which basically works like a blinkback belt. There are a lot of feats required to make thrown weapons on par with just using a bow. And then you need all the same feats that archery has to get your damage up to par.

Trained throw looks really good! I completely forgot about the advanced weapon training option!

Thrown weapons based fighter are actually very competitive now thanks to trained throw. And with other advanced weapon training options it's possible to have good will/reflex saves and do so many other things.

The build I listed here has the bonus damage progression of a sacred weapon from war priest. His starknives deal 1d10 damage.
