Hello,
I'm skeptical about what I was told by a friend today. He told me that in
Society mode, after a fight, you don't get the 50% chance, for each fired ammunition (shurikens, arrows, sling stones, etc...) THAT MISSED of getting them back. Is there any truth to this ?
Please note that he specifically said "in Society mode".
Thanks for your replies.

Well, if you mean with the Pathfinder Society organized play rules, it says that all resources used must be tracked, but that's about the closest thing I can think of that's relevant. So broken arrows have to be tracked, but I can't think of anything that says that you can't recover the 50% of arrows that are shot but aren't broken. Mind you, it's not uncommon for people to get the rules wrong. I once had a GM in PFS that said I couldn't recover a thrown weapon, and not because it was lost in lava or a river or anything. 20 by 20 room and my javelin just disappeared.

Heh. "In Society Mode". I'll have to use that.
There is no PFS-specific rule regarding recovering ammunition. If you hit, it's destroyed (unless it's Durable). If you miss, there's a 50% that it's lost (including Durable).
Some lenient GMs may reduce the 50% chance to 25% regarding Durable ammunition (and some may simply not care at all), but no GM should be ruling worse than the regular rules.

Er, that's incorrect:
Durable arrows don’t break with normal use, whether or not they hit their target; unless a durable arrow goes missing, an archer can retrieve and reuse it again and again.
Edit: Nevermind, apparently the rule is 50% destroyed or lost. Boy that's frustrating.

I was the GM on that game.
Like manly-man teapot, I remember reading this somewhere, not sure where.
I reviewed past guides to organized play as well as the PFS FAQ.. nothing in there.
So, André, I guess there is no PFS specific ruling regarding the loss and destruction of ammo and you should have had your 50% to recover the shuriken.
Thanks for bringing this up.
