Just happened across the Mages crossbow from ranged tactics and was giddy with glee for a moment... as I considered my Vigilantes mystic bolt neatly pairing with it... then I realized MB is Supernatural (which is nice for SR) so it probably wouldn't work... right?
Does anyone know of any magic MB works with either melee or ranged?
If I were to multiclass Warlock / fighter could I apply my weapon training to my mystic bolts? What weapon group would they be if you could?
Thanks

From my reading, so far, I believe Deliquescent Gloves should work. I don't have the book in front of me, but there is a line that states that they count as light melee weapons. The problem is that they are basically lost once used. So it makes it a lot harder to beef up the damage. I would assume that WS(magic bolt) would work since you can get weapon focus works. The downside is that you will have to give up 4 levels of Warlock and that would also give you an extra 2 damage.
I don't forsee a pure Warlock being a massive damage dealer but a fairly consistent damage dealer. One of the drawbacks to the class but it balances with always having a weapon and only having to worry about energy resistance.

You can increase the damage with Power Attack or Deadly Aim if you choose not to have your Magic Bolt be touch attacks. If you are going to take levels in fighter, a Conductive weapon could be useful. It may be a little iffy, but it should work. The nice thing is that it should be multiplied on a critical hit. So, more questions to be answered.

Energy resistance might give you a hard time, but if your second or third energy types can't get through, you can always use your Arcane Strike with a back up weapon, and sorc/wizard spells.
The saving grace of the warlock is its spell list. If they had paired down the list, I would be inclined to think that the class was under powered.
