Scarab Sages

Quote:

Prerequisites: Dwarf, hardy racial trait.

Benefit: You receive a +4 racial bonus on saving throws against spells and spell-like abilities. This replaces the normal bonus from the dwarf’s hardy racial trait.

Normal: Dwarves normally receive a +2 racial bonus on saving throws against spells and spell-like abilities.

Quote:
Hardy: Dwarves gain a +2 racial bonus on saving throws against poison, spells, and spell-like abilities.

So, if my dwarf takes this feat, do I lose the +2 racial bonus on saving throws against poison?

As I read it, should retain the poison bonus, but I can certainly see counter-arguments. Second opinion?

IMHO the poison bonus is not affected, because the feat's effects are the difference between "benefit" and "normal" and the latter doesn't mention it.

The feat description says (while specifically describing a bonus on saves vs. spells) that it replaces the normal bonus of Hardy. If the bonus vs. poisons was removed, it would simply say the feat replaces the hardy ability altogether. The feat then goes on to express the bonus to saves vs. spell Dwarves normally receive, but doesn't mention the bonus to saves vs. poisons.

In conclusion, the bonus to saves vs. Poisons isn't adjusted by this feat, and you retain your Racial +2 bonus vs. Poisons.
