Redundant Talisman

Rules Questions

I don't see any reason why this should not work, but I'm going to ask. I have been saving towards purchasing at greater talisman of life's breath. I can now afford it, but I had a thought. i need to die >10 times for the greater talisman to have any benefit over multiple lesser ones. Is there any reason I couldn't buy say 3 lessers, wear one on my neck and carry the other two? If one goes off, I replace it asap. Seems like this would also get arround the once per day limitation. Seems like good economics to me.
Cant find a reason to consider this illegal and/or abusive.

That works fine. I agree that it is good economics, legal, and even non-abusive.

I believe you could also put one on (that will function normally) and then put the others on too (which won't function but won't hinder the first one) and when the first crumbles the second will become active, and so on. This has nothing to do with talismans in particular, it's just how wearing multiple magic items in one slot works. Someone correct me if I'm wrong about this, I'm not sure where to find a reference.

All the rules say is that additional items worn "have no effect" (Magic Items, Magic Items on the Body section).

As soon as you cease to have an active magical item in that slot, another item in the slot would begin to affect you again, as the previous item was the only thing preventing it from doing so.

You can wear three lesser talismans at once but only have one in effect at any particular time.

It says so in the Lesser Talisman description.
