Blind Fight feat vs sneaking around

Rules Questions

Scarab Sages

In my pbp game, the fighter is engaged with a ninja.

The ninja activates Vanishing Trick (SU), then rolls very high for Stealth to sneak away. The fighter rolls very low for Perception.

Would Blind Fight have granted an Attack of Opportunity when the ninja moved away?

Would Blind Fight aid the fighter in locating the ninja's current location?

By my reading of the rules, the answer to both questions is "no," but I am afraid I might be interpreting something wrong in a way that minimizes the feat to near uselessness.

Quite simply, Blind-Fight is not for finding hidden targets. It's for fighting them. It won't help you pinpoint someone or score AoOs, but it will help you when they try to attack you, or when you try to attack them.

For a more "rules centric" answer, all Blind-Fight does is allows you to roll twice on miss chance, prevents invisible characters from gaining a +2 and denying dex on melee attacks, and makes walking around blind easier. None of the things you listed fall into the above, so Blind-Fight doesn't help.
