Downloads

Ignoring the recent goings on with download time, as I understand the servers a bit more loaded than usual and it has been discussed to death on other threads both by people who know and do not know what is going on, is there any way to mass download?

I have a fair few things to download and a download all button would be nice, I understand at the moment it is probably not a good idea as my god over 60,000 people all hitting mass download would just break the servers on a semi-permanent basis, but wondered if something was going to be put in place as and when things start to calm down?

It's been on their wishlist since at least 2013 but apparently hasn't made it to the top yet.

fair enough, a little annoying but at the moment it has probably moved down the list a bit

Perhaps the solution would be to offer the Humble bundle as one big ZIP file instead of having to download 50+ different files individually. Atleast then ONLY have 60.000 downloads at a time, instead of 60.000 x 50 files.

Not a great idea. Advanced Class Guide, for example, has four versions - single file, single file lite, individual chapters, and individual chapters (lite). How many people will download all four? I imagine most would download one or at most two.

But if it's all in one giant zip file, then people will download that - and probably not manage to get the whole thing before the download is interrupted.
