Almost all Pathfinders undergo extensive training for three or more years to learn the tricks of the trade, and their last test before graduating from the ranks of the initiates to the status of a full Pathfinder agent is the Confirmation, a special research project that involves considerable fieldwork and is designed to simulate the initiates' future work as a Pathfinder. Even the noteworthy field commissioned agents sometimes participate in such trials as a way to familiarize themselves with the Pathfinder Society’s rules and expectations. Although Confirmation is typically an individual affair, the society recently discovered a site on the Isle of Kortos that would be perfect for initiates but perhaps too dangerous to handle alone. Successfully uncovering this site’s secrets will not only contribute to the society’s body of knowledge but shape the exciting careers ahead for each of the prospective agents.
- This is a scenario for Levels 1-2
- This will be Play-by-Post format using Google Drawings for Maps.
- I would like everyone to be able to post once a day Monday thru Thursday and at least once on the Weekend (Friday thru Sunday).
- I've got 2 players already, so I need 4 more. If there's enough interest, I'll consider a second table. I'll be taking players on a first come, first serve basis.
- When you inquire in the thread, let me know if you've played the scenario before. If possible, I'd like to separate those that have played from those that have not (for the experience of new players).
- Depending on how fast the table fills up, I'd like to start introductions over the weekend, starting the session by Monday.

Will this be ran as an actual PFS module, following all the standard PFS rules and granting credit and all that jazz?
I'm familiar with the system; I was planning on participating in an RL PFS game or two, but my local group fell apart and I never got started. But I'm a bit confused; as I understand the manual, an individual (person, not character) can only gain the XP twice: by playing and by GMing. Then there was the "once-per-lifetime" use of a GM Star for the option of gaining credit again.
If this is an "official" PFS game, how can it be open to those who have played it before? They just wouldn't get any credit for it?

It is for PFS credit.
It's true that nearly all scenarios and PFS sanctioned modules can only be played once per player. The few Scenarios and Modules that are Tier 1-2 can be replayed any number of times for credit at 1st level. Though players (and GMs) can only get credit once at 2nd Level.
@Harkevich: I recommend playing the character you want to play. I can't think of a class this scenario wouldn't work for and I wouldn't worry too much about party makeup.

Oh, okay, I missed that bit (or I have an outdated version of the guide); sorry about that!

They are evergreens but cant be played by the same character. They can be replayed as a level 1 many times but only once as a level 2 character.
That makes sense, and especially in light of this one in particular, from an RP perspective as well, since every Pathfinder would've gone through this in their career.
@Gimble - I'd like to throw my hat in the ring. I have a Magus on paper that I'll get digital in a short bit for your consideration.

Gimble, The Storyteller |

@GM V: Absolutely. I'm not restricting if people have played, just curious if they have. It's more of a reminder to those that have played, that some haven't. Most people are really good about keeping things spoiler free, so I'm not too worried about it.
So far we have:
GM V
Æroden
Harkevich
I'll link up the Discussion thread later tonight, or tomorrow morning as I'll be heading to work in a little bit.

Gimble, The Storyteller |

Looks like we've got 4, plus the 2 we had already.
GM V
Æroden
Harkevich
Calypso Nyx
Go ahead and check-in in the Discussion Thread. Once everyone has checked in, we'll get started. Welcome.
I'll leave the recruitment thread open for a little while longer. If there's more interest I'm willing to run a second table.

Yeah, I need to get a few more games under my belt because I am sitting on a level 3 pregen (my first ever PFS legal game. Was supposed to be We Be Goblins Free! however there was more players interested than the game could support with its pregen goblins, so we instead did a regular adventure of that level (the store said you had to play in a game to get the book in order to be fair about the limited copies), but since I was new I had to play a pregen. So I was told I could save the sheet and apply it when I am level 3)

Gimble, The Storyteller |

Looks like we have 2 full tables.
