Magus and School Powers?

Rules Questions

Hey y'all,
Just a quick question,
So I'm planning on making an Esoteric Magus from Occult Adventures, but I also kinda want to have the Divination Foresight school powers.
Are there any feats I can take or is it worth it to splash one level for it.
Note, it is more for the flavor than the actual abilities. If you have any alternate ideas I'd love to hear them...

VMC wizard, from Pathfinder Unchained, is the simplest way I can think of.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

As a matter of as-yet-nonexistent material, the idea of a Magus being able to specialize in a school like a Wizard sounds like a good option to have to me - or maybe they could have something that is to Schools of Wizardry what Warpriest Blessings are to Clerical Domains.

Thing is... Magi are already limited to select number of spells in their list which are not equally distributed over the existing schools. You really can't do the same kind of specialisation as wizards. A Magus with forbidden schools enchantment and necromnancy isn't going to be missing much.

Sure, so you do it a bit differently (like my 'arcane Warpriest Blessing' analog).
