For the bulk of our subscription orders, we look at groupings of items and shipping methods and process them as efficiently as possible. An example of one grouping would be packages containing the Adventure Path and the Campaign Setting shipping via our standard mail option and another would be Adventure Path and a Campaign Setting shipping via USPS priority, and then another would be Adventure Path and a Campaign Setting shipping via USPS international priority. We group up as many packages into batches like that so we can streamline shipping those out. We do not always do these groups in the same order as we do not want to penalize any particular group by routinely doing them last and also because we do not always have the same product lines shipping every single month. At the same time we are working on these larger batches of packages, we also have some folks shipping out packages containing subscriptions plus other items and groups too small to make assembly line style packing efficient so that we do not penalize folks for adding additional items to their order or for being part of a group with a combination of items and shipping method that isn't common.
In a given month we estimate that getting all the subscription orders out the door will take us about two weeks. In light months with not a lot of other stuff going on, we can often get everything out the door in the first week of shipping. When there is a lot of products we might take the full two weeks. Usually its somewhere in between.
Hope this helps understand the process!

I'm still in the running for last place! Which gives me a mostly irrelevant but silly idea. Is there any way of figuring out which subscriber was exactly last to get their order packed? Might be fun to do something silly with it. Not that many of us here are sports fans but I sort of enjoy the weirdness of the NFL's Mr. Irrelevant.

The warehouse said they are finished shipping subscriptions orders!
If you have not gotten your shipping notification yet and are not sure why, please let us know by starting a new thread on the CS messageboards, sending us an email, or giving us a call. Thanks!
Edit/Update: We found that there are some subscription orders that have Beginner Boxes on them that ARE ready to ship because they were submitted to the sidecart before these hit the backorder point. However, the goblins in the system seem a bit confused about shipping them because of the overall backorder status.
I'll be doing some extra poking on those orders to get them moving.
