Normal hunter is good and strong.
Divine Hunter takes away the teamwork feat focus and makes you each better on your own.
Primal Hunter trades away animal focus for evolutions, this option is more complex and not always on.
Hunters do melee and ranged just fine, so which ever you want.
Are you planning on riding your companion or having him be separate?
Your stats are kinda funny for a Hunter, was it a 20pt buy?

okay, he isn't both. You're either riding him or you're not, and the build changes based on that. If you're planning on riding him for most fights then melee teamwork based is good. If riding and ranged then your pet isn't attacking. If separate and melee teamwork or divine hunter can work. If separate and ranged divine probably better.
