Here we see the New England Monkey, Pan Yankeensis awaking in his nest with his symbiotic companions, two Boston Terriers, Canis Flatuensis. The monkey has just discovered his sleeping arrangements have somehow been turned inside out.
Another busy busy day. More bus wrangling, then class in Boston. I'm glad I made the extra effort to get all my exercises in yesterday because I don't think I'll get to any of them today. Good news is that Friday actually looks pretty free and clear.

On another positive note, my swimming regimen and dietary tweaking seems to be helping with the stubborn late middle-age weight problem I am dealing with.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again youngsters. Don't neglect your exercise. You get older before you know it, and it is a stone B*!%~ to get that weight off when you are pushing 50.

My plans are thus:
Take train into grand central early. As early as possible.
Walk around NYC playing tourist and taking photos. Anyone wants to come along, that's très cool.
Check into my abode, and then more sightseeing. Once again, love any company.
Dinner time, head to Lovecraft bar for dinner and drinks. Likely get plastered
Roll back to the hotel
Sunday morning ride train home with massive hangover.
Someday, Imma drive out there and crash one of your get-togethers. ;)
Anytime Treppa. Come see Cspe Cod in the Summer. It is nice, if a bit crowded.

Early afternoon: meet at BonChon, submerge all those not yet indoctrinated in the sauce so that they may know the glory of Superior Korean Fried Chicken
Immediately afterwards: perform CPR, ensure everyone survived, go get bubble tea to make sure no hard feelings
After that: go to complete strategist, world's greatest gaming store, have staff tell at least one embarrassing Freehold story
After that: take a loooooooooooooooong walk(consider cab) to forbidden planet, second greatest comic book store in ny
After that: take a jaunt down to katz' delicatessen to fortify oneself before...
LOVECRAFT: CONSUME MASS QUANTITIES OF ALCOHOL AT LOVECRAFT, POSSIBLY ENGAGE IN CUNNILINGUS WITH CURIOUS BAR PATRON
Af-af-*hic* WHEN we finishhhhh up: Stumble bumble through the streets, perhaps go to waffles and dingles to soak up the alcohol(note: skip this step if curious bar patron would like to know more about our collective/individual carnal prowess)
The end of the evening: escort Patrick back to hotel, possibly leaving him in the caring hands of curious bar patron/asking him for the key card to his room to enjoy time with curious bar patron.
The 24th may be a night of debauchery at baronaremhashevaum's club, depending on hangovers.

Indeed, what is a stuffed animal.
Naturally, I spent the rest of my shift pondering that, and hardly got any work done.
Besides making sure the stuffed animals are properly cuddled that is.

So I was supposed to talk about financial accounting standards in an assignment and went off on a long rant about how they only deal with protecting investors and nobody is protecting employees or customers, who are needed for long-term viability of the current economic system.

Stuffed animals are the totem spirits of our modern life made flesh. As our ancestors would have loa, fetches, Lares, Penares, or minor saints to watch over them, we have stuffed animals. They absorb our youthful love and belief, and become an interface between us and the greater outside nöosphere.

I am interested to see the difference between the NYC subway (does it have a common nickname?) and the Boston MBTA (The 'T')
Hey FHDM, I like your itinerary! I second it, even if I find your curious bar patron a bit optimistic.
I would also like to check out any cool architecture on the way, interesting vistas, old cemeteries, and the like. But, gaming stores and bubble tea sounds like a good afternoon to me.
For those who might be a bit doubtful about mindfulness and meditation. I offer to you this NYC weekend. Before I began to focus on the now and live my life deliberately this would have never happened. I would have dismissed the idea of going to NYC on a random weekend as foolish, useless, scary, and expensive. But, as I wished to experience life, I decided to go. And, although I am still striving to find the money, I know I will make it happen. A little faith, a little planning, and a little bravery opens unimaginable vistas
Make someday happen by saying yes today. The future is a house you build on the foundations you put down now.

That being said, my next adventure is Washington D.C in the early summer.
Then GenCon in August
Then Cape Breton in later August.
Germany, Austria, and ports Danubic in 2018.
Another observation. The easiest path often leads to the most difficult place. I had my doubts about learning to drive a schoolbus. It's quite a lateral leap for me. But, as with anything it is achievable. Now I will own a CDL license that I actually got paid to get (instead of paying 2-4K for at a 'trucking' school), and I will have a $25/hr job. It took a bit of that faith, planning, and bravery stuff, but now I have climbed the difficult mountain and I can see the lovely vista at the summit.
Well, that's the elliptical done. Off to explore this wondrous day!

Architecturally, I always recommend Grand Central Station, which never ceases to amaze me. Your train will probably go into Penn Station, which has all the architectural beauty of a gangrenous foot. Grand Central is an easy field trip though.
Cemeteries are hard unless you go way downtown or out to the burroughs. St. Patrick's Cathedral is a convenient midtown site, though. Also, Bonchon is almost directly across the street from the Empire State Building, so there's that. (Aside: aeglos got engaged atop the ESB.)
When I visit, I want to do a Beastie Boys pilgrimage.
