Hurm. Quiet day today.

Back on the T headed into Boston. I'm hoping for a short evening. The weather is that odd New England Spring mix where it's been bouncing between 40 and 60 Farnenheit, making it hard to figure out what to wear.

Have any of my NYC peeps checked out that Holiday Inn on Delancey Str? Three weeks from this coming weekend!

is that the 22nd? Please let that be the 22nd.

23rd I think. Saturday

Silver Crusade

It's gonna be awesome.

That is an odd place for a hotel, but it looks like a good one. I haven't checked it out in person.

Things are still crazy for me. Work may calm down in April, though.

After my successful Brahms concerts a few weeks ago, I have a bunch of stuff in a short span of time coming up: bass-baritone soloist for Schubert's mass in a-flat this weekend, and then a recital the following Saturday to honor some music scholarship recipients where I will be singing a pair of Verdi arias, followed by a concert the next day of the opera group where I will be singing the Verdi again plus some Mozart.

Craziness.

Also, the Schubert is obviously too low for me. Hopefully I can sing those notes such that they are heard.

Headed back home. I'm feeling mighty thin at this point. About 1 1/2 hrs to go yet..

Good news is I should have some landscaping gigs next week

I'm supposed to get in touch with my spiritual side, but the f*@!ing thing didn't leave a forwarding address.

Spiritual is such a loaded term. It often gets conflated with religion.

I see spirituality as the basic connectivness we have with the world around us. Strengthening that bond is what meditation is all about.

I work hard. I don't have a lot of free time. I am twice divorced and teetering on the edge of not getting my rent together for May.

I don't care. I am happy and in touch with life. I know if I work hard and stay positive then I will find a way to make it all come together. That's spirituality for me.

This is now a candidate for my senior quote.

Rolling the bus through Plymouth and Wareham. Man them Pilgrims couldn't lay out a straight road if they tried. I swear they must have been secretly chugging hard cider or something.

So, I put off scheduling an appointment because the earliest they could get me in was June 3rd. I decided to bite the bullet and call today, since the date could only get later, and they are getting me in tomorrow! Somebody canceled.

You can't talk about that on a kids tv show!

We'll talk about it later. Mañana.

In the theme of "Netflix Nepotism," I present the following:

I finished the film "He Never Died," which is supposedly a dark comedy (I didn't find it very funny, but I liked it nonetheless). I give it a solid four stars.

What does Netflix suggest?

Answer:
Pee Wee's Big Holiday or whateverthehellit'scalled.

Picked up a shift tonight. So that makes mon-thurs as 15-18 hour days

Very happy with my purchse from Dwarven forge. Only got like 4 guildings but more than enough streets. Going to buy more Buildings here in April.

BTW nice job on the cartography credit on the Cypher System adventure The Dream Spiral Hugo.

Well, another long day. Should be the last one unless I get called in Friday afternoon. No driving today either, just class work. I can deal with that. Plus, I don't have to be there until 930. At this point that's a relief.

I need to go apologize to my games again...sigh

First day home sick this year. May it be the only one.

Did you need a hug, I've been trained.

every box of stuffed animals that comes into the toy store I work at comes with step by step illustrated instructions on how to open the box, fluff and cuddle the stuffed animals, and put them on the shelves.

Will that make for a nice check at least?

There's a nasty flu going around work.

I cannot get sick right now (see earlier post about numerous singing gigs).

Anyway, feel better soon, lucky.

I thought he was homesick, not at home, sick.

It makes more sense now. :-)

Sadly, only 16 hours if that time is payable. Well, the bus training I will get paid for at some point, but not until I have my license and I am actually on the payroll.

My daily dose of zinc seems to be holding well for disease control

Funnily enough it was first recommended to me by a customer of mine whose name was Lucky. Real name (family was supposedly from Las Vegas)

It's Green!

Patrick,

I will post the recepie soon, we have trouble getting the boy to sleep atm, which reduces my online time

Well, the day is going a bit smoother than some this week. My inside bus class let out a full hour early, allowing me my first chance at getting to the gym since Sunday. I also got to spend some time with my puppies, who sadly have to spend a lot of time alone with my schedule.

Tomorrow I am hoping for a repeat of today and getting out an hour early. I'm not working (yet) so I might actually have an afternoon to do little things like laundry and dishwashing

I am happy though. The pace is breakneck and the road is long and rocky, but I feel like I've got this. I have to gut out another month of classes, then I'll be CDL certified and out of college for the summer. Then it's just one more year of school and finding a lawyer who needs a slightly-aged monkey to type up motions and summons for them.

Homeward bound..

Back to work tomorrow- this is a good thing, since I just dropped almost a grand on a new graphics card and monitor.
Can't wait until next week when I'll have time to actually install my new toys.

I was looking online for a Heath bar cookie recipe, and when I opened the recipe page there was a banner ad at the top for dieting resources for those trying to manage Type 2 Diabetes.

That is fantastic ad placement.

Much better than the "Flame Broiled Whopper" ad that showed up on a news article about a fiery airplane crash.

Friday! I hope to start work on my community garden plot this weekend.

Well, I am thinking I won't get a call into work tonight. I have to say I am not all that disappointed. It's been a long week. Plus, there's some landscaping gigs coming available. Always good pick-up money in raking people's leaves.
