Hello my fellow gamers!
I am playing in a Way of the Wicked game with some friends, and I am loving the campaign. I play a sorcerer and we are coming to the point where my character (and the others) could become Vampires. I also know in the next module is the opportunity to become a Lich.
My question to the community here is which would be better for my character. I am an aasimar (angel-blooded) sorcerer with the Devil bloodline, and diabolist PrC.

interesting bloodline choices. fallen angel theme. I would suggest neither and see if the DM will allow you to explore the angelic/fiendish thing you've got going on. Half fiend template would probably be balanced with vampire or lich.
If you are set on them, then I would go lich. Vampires have too many weaknesses. However just be aware that it isn't all rosy. I definitely wouldn't leave my phylactery somewhere lying around.
Just make sure everyone is getting something good. One undead PC in a party of mortals is pretty crappy.

Vampire is mechanically good if you are willing to put up with the limitations of daylight and the other vampire weaknesses. The charisma boost from Vampire is nice for you.
You could also investigate trying to get Half fiend which one of my pc's is trying for but there is nothing built into the campaign for that.
I would also suggest considering Graveknight for any martial characters in the group

Lich is great. Vampire might make sense if the rest of the party is doing it because then everyone has the same weaknesses.
The idea of exploring the angel/devil part of yourself might be interesting. I believe Aasimars can become outsiders at high enough levels, what if your progression was not towards an celestial outsider, as is implied, but a devil?
Contracts with devils might put you on that path too...?

Vampire is the low hanging fruit of the undead world.
They only need 5 hd and another vampire, unlike lich which needs high caster level and tons of money.
Vampires look pretty...but they are fragile as glass, with tons of weaknesses, and they are deathly allergic to 2/3 of all time outdoors. Liches eliminate most of their weaknesses, or lock them safely away so no one can ever get to them.
Vampires are all style, no substance, and they are for those that want immortality superficially, while still bound to mortal hungers and foibles. Liches are beyond those petty temptations.

Thanks for everyone's comments. I know vampire has some heavy weaknesses, but I can see ways around some of them
A Lich on the other hand I don't see alot of bonuses for the 2 levels I would be giving up. Not to mention the gold my character doesn't even have a tenth of, nor the massive amount of time to make the phylactery takes to make, and I don't have Craft Wondrous Item (although I will be able to take it).

I had earlier thought of that and have asked my GM about the Devilbound Creature template, but he said no since we technically have a contract in place with the Cardinal.
