I saw an older thread from 2012 where people were putting funny things that happened to them, I'd like to restart that only it doesn't have to just be funny, as long as a good time was had and something amazing happened during play feel to share.
Our samurai (lv. 1) gets pulled 40ft. straight up by a cave fisher, drops most of his arrows on a low athl. roll, and when he gets pulled the remaining 20ft. and is face to face with it he has to use alchemist fire because the cave is too small for his katana and he didn't by a dagger. Fortunately he was able to finish it off in a fiery explosion and roll an 18 athl. to grab onto the edge of the cave to keep from frying or going splat.

Same night my lv.3 gnome arcane/sorcerer uses a scroll of spider climb (courtesy of the cave fisher) on the samurai so he can scale a 50ft. crevasse, the samurai rolls a 5 on athl. but high enough on his reflex save where he's fine... me and the lv.1 elf wizard at the bottom are in direct line of fire from the small avalanche he just started. I made my saving through (+5 with weasel familiar) and took half damage, unfortunately our wizzie wasn't so lucky. He took full dmg. and went to neg. hit points. I failed to use my wand of cure lt. wounds, so did the wiz., he used a pot. of cure lt. wounds (also from the k.fisher) which brought him to exactly zero hp. I used my PoCLW as well which brought him up to 5 hp, all in all a good time was had by everyone.

Charging into a thunderstorm, my wife's Oread get shocked by the monster (elect damage) - only to suck up a natural hazard lighting bolt from the storm. Her PC (named Mud Pie) fights with a shovel ... So we comment about holding a metal tool over your head in a storm.
A few rounds later another bolt from the sky... Random roll hits her again. A that point she ran back inside.

My go to combat tactic for my Investigator has become using Monstrous Physique to turn into either a Charda or a Gargoyle. So we're sent on a mission to talk to one of the town guards, a former pathfinder. As we approach, someone unseen summons a creature in the middle of the town square. First round of combat, I turn into a Charda. Another party member destroys the summoned creature. Next round, I end up waddling my way up and trying to Diplomacize... As a Charda. Most of the crowd of onlookers were running from me at this point.
Another time, we stumbled on a rope trick. I had already turned into a Gargoyle in the fight just prior. With my Investigator perception, I spotted not only the rope, but the invisible window as well. I then proceeded to climb up the rope and stick my head into the extra-dimensional space. Since I knew I was likely being watched there was no surprise round. I roll initiative against the group of humans inside. I go first and climb back down the rope. I begin to try to Diplomacize, then think the better of it and step back, to let someone other than the Gargoyle try to talk them out.
A common catchphrase for that character has become, "I am not a monster!"

We found him before he came fully out of his stasis-unit-thing. Our wizard quickly called a readied an action to cast enervation on him once he popped out, so our GM gave him a surprise round (turns out Krune had wanted to give a soliloquy of some sort first). Our wizard shoots before Krune finishes his first sentence, rolls a crit, and confirms. He also beats Krune on initiative (the GM rolled remarkably low for Krune's init, so I think all but 1 of us beat his initiative). The wizard throws a second enervation, WHICH ALSO CRITS AND CONFIRMS!
Now, we had been told that Krune had 2 famous artifacts: his glaive and rod. So I (a paladin-sorcerer) and another sorcerer both used pilfering hand on Krune. The other sorcerer went before me, and targeted the rod. He succeeded. So I targeted the glaive, and succeeded too. We later discover that the glaive was also his bonded item. XD
Krune starts to panic, and dimension-doors away. The wizard quickly tells the other sorcerer to send his summons to search the East side of the demiplane, and then blindly dimension-doors himself and me to the West side. We see Krune in the distance, and within my charging range! I declare a smite, made my saving throw to assert my will over the glaive, AND THEN CRIT-SMITED KRUNE WITH HIS OWN GLAIVE! Wizard follows up with an empowered intensified fireball (with my blessings, since I was also in the AoE - but iirc the other sorcerer had cast mass protection from energy fire on us anyway).
We had gone in expecting one of the toughest battles of our characters' careers to date, but the gods of fortune truly hated Krune that day, and we basically curb-stomped him in a few rounds with a string of very lucky rolls and decisions. The GM rather freely expressed his disappointment at not being able to show us what Krune was truly capable of. XD

I'm not sure why a failed skill check to climb (presumably what you mean by "low athl. roll") would cause you to drop any of your equipment?
Also, if the samurai was in the cave there is nothing preventing him from using his katana. If it is small enough to impose squeezing penalties, then those apply but the samurai can still use his katana.
Catching yourself while falling requires a Climb check (DC = wall's DC + 20) so an 18 probably shouldn't have succeeded.

You know, "modifications" that let the judge "control the ...tension of the game"... that "..vary based on the pacing and dramatic needs of the moment".

He wasn't catching himself while falling, he sorta jumped back and grabbed the edge, might have gotten that 18 mixed up with another roll but he did succeed (he only needed a 15). Also, the "cave" was a short 5ft. tall and wide tunnel which led to a bigger cavern. The reason he dropped his arrows is because he was suspended 40ft. in the air by a strand of silk, he rolled less than 5. Lets keep focused please, don't nitpick other peoples stories and do share some of your own. :)

A few minor points of amusement :
My Ifrit Bloodrager (fire bloodline) in Confirmation runs up to the minotaur after it knocks Janiera down and right before swinging growls, "Burn with me!" right before hitting for 25. He then takes a hit dropping him to 1 HP when he only has one round of rage left. Naturally I go with the "Go big or go home" philosophy. "BURN WITH ME!!!" Another 24 points to the minotaur, dropping it right as the cleric finally catches up.
Eidelon is wearing the hat of disguise to look like a tiefling, while the summoner is wearing a ring of invisibility, so the Aspis agents yell "Look out, a tiefling summoner! Watch for an eidelon!"
Female elven rogue slips an Aspis agent an elixir of love. "Can I tie you up?" And that's how the cleaning crew discovered a thoroughly bound Aspis agent the next morning.

I only care because if this is a PFS game, the GM shouldn't be playing fast and loose with the rules like that.

I appreciate the concern, I might have mixed whether it was an athletics check and such (I'm a new player) but the GM seems very professional and any shortcomings in my story should be attributed to my inexperience, again thanks for the concern.
