Advice

I dont know if this is the right place to post this(this is my first post)
But what I want to do is make a character entirely based around swords and would like some help on that, I don't have a specific idea set yet in my mind. but i know I would like to be able to summon swords and a list of sword based spells from different classes would help. I dont play pathfinder society, and I am pretty much the rules guy of the group I play with so I can most likely get anything oked as long as it isn't too overpowered. I normally play paladins and maguses so my experience as a full spell user is quite limited. Any help would be appreciated thank you.

Scarab Sages

It isn't SUPER optimal, but the Shaman gets a feat that lets it treat his level as his BAB for using Spiritual Weapon. Summon a small horde of ghostly blades?

Like I said, it isn't GREAT, but it IS something only they can do.

So rather than just a guy that uses swords, you want one that summons them?

How about kinectist?

They have the ability to turn their blast into a melee weapon. Go ahead and deal numbers like 10d6+10+con, or 20d6+20+con. Have swords of stone, ice, wind, lightning, water, fire, sand, lava, etc. Or go with aether and use normal swords, but flung about with psychic powers.

Taking that further you could go with the elemental annihilator archetype for kinectist with a aether user. Why? Because then you could wield swords that fly around, and shoot out a half dozen swords as a ranged attack. At the very least, it can have the cool image of a warrior standing in a sword graveyard, waiting for the coming enemy.

Elemental annihilators lose a lot of their utility, but can get greater damage (since they can get stat+power attack/deadly aim damage on multiple hits, ignoring all other factors). Also, you don't have to stress as much with the burn mechanic (you still want to use it, probably, since I am fiarly sure it still boosts stats and attack rolls, even if it doesn't touch damage rolls on anything other than the base blast for them- just dump it into your defense talent and forget about it). Might be a good pick since you seem to go more for the melee types (assuming you mostly filled the magus spell slots with shocking grasps)

Liberty's Edge

If third party content is okay, I recommend Soul Knife with the War Soul archetype. Take the Discipline Blade Shapes blade skill at 2nd level and now you can reform your weapon into any kind of light blade you want. If you get DM permission to swap one of the martial disciplines out (a practice the book itself recommends for thematic characters) then you get can get all swords by selecting a discipline that gets heavy blades.

To expand on the concept as you level you can take Bladewind at 8th level for what amounts to Whirlwind (but really you summon one blade per target and attack all simultaneously). At 16th you can then take Bladestorm to throw one blade at each foe within 30ft simultaneously. There are also blade skills that change your damage type to be elemental, among other fun things.

If you can't use 3rd party content then your best bet is the Mindblade archetype of Magus, which has some similarities to Soulknife but is still very much a caster/martial instead of a pure martial and doesn't get fancy tricks with their weapons.

Either way, blades formed from pure force of will.

Kensai with a longsword as his chosen weapon.

One of the spells just released is Force Sword.

Arcane Anthology.

Spheres of power has a class about summoning their equpipment, and a Sphere that can be made about telekinetically throwing things around/wielding weapons. Combine the two and you should be able to go all Final Form Sora if thats your thing. (as a bonus the same sphere lets you levitate too)

You could even wield two swords in your hand and have a bunch floating around you fighting as well.

If you are not set on being the strong, big guy, a gnome might be interesting. Any gnome is obsessed about something, and well, this gnome totally focuses on swords. He could talk about them all day, probably finding new sword variants might be his only motivation for adventure. At least at the beginning, on the long run RPing this way will get dull. Gnome magus also has an unusual favored class bonus, it can unlock additional weapon properties for arcane pool.

If you want to conjure weapons on your own, a flavorful spell is Shadow Weapon.

shadow weapon is personal favorite of mine, rogue/sorc would cast it often, and specialized in illusion, nothing like killing the baddies with a sword that isn't actually there per say :). Bonus, shadow weapon can be of any type you want, so shadow dueling sword, or great sword is possible. Much fun was had.

Grand Lodge

I personally Like the Cleric for Spiritual weapon, Spiritual Ally, and BLADE BARRIER. Adding toppling meta magic to them is pretty fun. A toppling Blade Barrier is just funny when things get trapped inside.

Later you can add dazing to the spells. A Dazing Spiritual Weapon/ally is nothing to sneeze at. Blade barrier is low enough spell level for Spell Perfection. Dazing + Empower Blade Barrier is a pretty nasty Sword wall that shreds anything that touches it.

I guess a Shaman would work as well since they can get the spells on their list as well. But the Cleric is one of my favorite 3 classes so I am Bias when I pick it.

Later levels you could get a guided weapon and you yourself will turn into a decent sword guy as well if you pick the right Domains and Spells to go along with it.

wreath of blades and flavour them as shortswords.
