Dagger Vital Strike

Advice

Is it possible to build an oversized dagger vital strike build with Fighter Advanced Weapon Training?

how is AWT helping with this?

Scarab Sages

I assume for the AWT that allows a Warpriest Sacred Weapon Damage.

By level 10, they can run about with 1d10 damage due to focused weapon training, which steals the sacred weapon scaling damage dice.

Actually, can you do an oversized weapon build with this? And then easily grab 2d8 at level 10 as well as 2 handed damage?

This might seem silly, since you could always go with bastard sword, but this has advantages- if you take the diefic obedience feat for pharasma, you can get +2 to dagger weapon attacks. That cancels out the penalty for using an oversized weapon.

So yes- this is my build advice for a vital strike build. Seems silly, but it has its advantages. Mostly because 1 big hit is nicer when you have the x1.5 bonuses.

SW cares on the size of the wielder, not the size of the weapon.
So the larger damage from the bigger dagger gets replaces with the SW damage.
