Archetype with delayed feature and Extra feature feats

If an archetype delays a class feature (but doesn't replace it entirely), do you have to wait until you actually receive the class feature before you can take its associated Extra feature feat?

(I'm guessing the answer is probably yes, just looking for some confirmation).

yes. You don't have it so you don't qualify for the extra feature feat.
