So, last Wednesday, I had a group play 0-1B, where the scenario reward was a skill feat. Then this was updated on Friday. Should I just have them undo that, and take the new reward, since it literally just happened? That's where I'm leaning, but wanted a second opinion(s).
I'd suggest converting the characters to the tier system, and then moving on with the new (updated) rewards from this point onwards. I doubt anyone would complain if you retroactively gave them the new award as well. The end result is that they'll still have the feat so nothing much needs to happen here (in fact, they'll actually net an extra feat assuming they also completed 0-1A). Full rules on converting a character to the tier system appear in the guide to organized play.
If they were already using the tier system, you should not have been giving them the feats listed in the rewards anyway, in which case you should uncheck them and apply the new award in its stead.
I think you can do that without any adverse effects. The characters do have to convert to the Tier system beforehand though.
This means they'll have both a skill feat and a power feat, since they finished 2 scenarios within Tier.
Correct. We were already using the Tier system, which was ambiguous about rewards giving them two, and then literally, two days later, all the scenarios were updated.
If you were using the Tier system and running the old scenarios, you weren't supposed to give them the Tier feats _and_ the reward feats, because that would have made them too powerful.
So yeah, please go ahead and undo that. :)
