Homunculist's Homunculus Stats?

Rules Questions

What am I using exactly? Do I just treat it like a regular familiar or does it gain any sort of homunculus traits?

It is a regular familiar of its animal/vermin type that you created through alchemy (unless you take Improved Familiar and get a living version of the construct homunculus).

Thank you kindly!

Sorry about the thread necro, but can you then buy extra HD, or other homunculi enhancements (from Alchemy Manual) on the Honumculist's homunculus?

Thank you.

also, is the familiar considered an animal or is it a construct?

It's a homunculus, like the one in Bestiary 1. So it's a construct and has the same stats as the one on the Bestiary. It just looks like a cat/scorpion/turkey/whatever. The modifications cane be made to it as normal.

Azten, this interpretation would seem to be at odds with what Mark said above.
