So once again I am bored (and fighting some writer's block for some things I'm trying to write) and I've made yet another character, this one a Dhampir Wizard like my Zadoc Dayborn (the last Wizard I brought here), named Belor Brightwalker. Unlike Zadoc who specialized in Necromancy and Summoning this guy focuses more on Transmutation and Necromancy (and trying to find a way to bring back his loved one). Yep, this guy is a Spirit Binder and he's bound the soul of one of the few people he has ever cared about into the body of a small animal. Problem is I'm not sure what familiar to go with. You see I want to use said Familiar as a focus for Polymorph spells (as well as myself) and am trying to find a familiar with decent stats that would fit the bill. I think I'm going Vetala-Born so maybe something that is native to Vudra?
As it is this guy is just another concept character and has no campaign and no other party-members to look to. Once again thank you for your time.
Look up suggestions for Mauler familiars. As those follow similar rules because you get the polymorph changes.

remember, con boosts mean nothing to the familiar since it's HP is off of your HP.

That being said, would Toughness benefit my familiar at all? Not on me, on it. As a Spirit Binder I'd get five feats for my familiar.
I'm not sure. I know Mauler's Endurance works for Maulers. And it says gain HP, and toughness says gain HP, so leaning towards yes, but no source.
