Interest Check in Dawnforge Campaign (Fantasy Flight OGL)

Recruitment

Hi all I recently picked up a used copy of this game setting and I thought it might be fun to try. I am thinking we will just use pathfinder rules for it, but try to stay within the Dawnforge setting as much as possible. The idea of Dawnforge is that it is the time of legend. When all the kingdoms are at their pinnacle and just starting to vie for control. There are no ruins of ancient civilizations, this is the dawn of civilization.

The biggest change in Dawnforge is the magic, as it is more raw and undefined/unexplored at this time. If there is enough interest I will go into more detail into that.

Interesting.

Perhaps. I rolled up a character for a game of this in a tabletop game, but it never got off the ground.

Well looks like there is some interest. I will finish reading the main parts of the book and probably start with the module presented in the book.

Cool. Just post the character creation guidelines, and I'll start with concepting out a character... yes I just made up a new word :-)

You are definitely sold that this should be Pathfinder? With the simplicity of the dawn of civilization and low magic, 5E may work better?

I do not own 5E would be he main reason for that. D@D lost me with 4th and I see no reason to jump ship because I enjoy Pathfinder.

Understood - lost me too with 4th, but 5th is a throwback to 2nd Edition. Simplistic and very enjoyable. Worth a look, if you have the time.

I would be game. I was a contributor to Midnight, the cousin setting to Dawnforge.
