Goblin musketeer suggestions

Advice

I took inspiration from malifaux gremlins for my character concept, so I went goblin gunslinger. I took ugly swine trait and misbegotten drawback, for smaller head and some extra shappes, so she won't look goblin, but ugly halfling with big b00bs and green skin, with pricetag -2 penalty to all Dex skills. And if ever get idea how effectively play goblin harlot without being face of our adventurer group, I will consider that.

I had in mind couple of things, but I don't remember if they were traits, feats, class features or spell effects. So where I get
- Increased weapon damage dices.
- Maximised weapon base dmg.
- Increased critical modifier of weapon.
(by the way, I know that criticals aren't maximized)

Other succestions are welcome too and while I have calculated that I could get best options by dipping into monk, which works by miniatyres, but I have some trouble trying to imagine having that much discipline (Lawful alignment).

Goblin Gunslinger feat, to use Medium size weapon damage dice. Improved Critical (whatever gun you're using) to increase your crit threat range.

If you were playing a Bolt Ace, Bracers of Archery and the Gravity Bow spell could help you out.

Goblin Gunslinger feat does remove penalty from using medium sized firearms, but can I use Fast Musket to load medium two handed musket, as it was small one handed firearm? If not, using feat to increase weapon damage from 1d10 to 1d12 doesn't sound as much useful. Bit better though, if Gravity Bow would work with firearms.

Improved Critical is sure choice. Make 19-20 critical threat. Anatomist +1 trait bonus to critical confirmation roll, so it should be cumulative with favored class bonus which is probably circumstance bonus like critical focus. But how I increase 4x critical to 5x critical? Though, is there any useful critical effect feat, which won't have critical focus as prerequisite?

Anything on Grit, Panache, Rage powers, Drunken powers (especially those), Performances, Spells, Bloodline powers, anything else? What I miss?

Nope. To get a 5x, you need to do it the hard way- 20 levels of Fighter.

Play a Musket Master Gunslinger instead of a base gunslinger- you can reload faster.

If you want Monk levels but don’t want to be Lawful you could use the Martial Artist archetype. My goblin PC has it. Why do you want Monk levels though?

The Deadly Aim feat should help boost your damage a bit, and the penalty on attack rolls isn't a big deal if you're targeting touch AC most of the time.

The fact that you're looking at powers from various classes makes me wonder if you intend to have mostly Gunslinger levels or maybe just take enough of them to get proficient with your musket and then branch out into other stuff. A lot of folks seem to feel that 5 levels of Gunslinger is enough to get most of the class's goodies, and there are a bunch of feats which allow you to add +4 to your effective class level for stuff like familiars, animal companions, wild shape, etc.

If you're serious about being a “goblin harlot” your PC could worship Lamashtu in her aspect as "Mother of Monsters". There’s even a particularly disturbing magic item called the Demon Mother’s Mask which allows for cross species mating.

Brawler gets pseudo-monk levels, too. You could trade out Martial Flexibility (which is weak if you only dip) for Sneak Attack.

Monk has lot of helpful architypes, but none of them are compatible with Martial Artist. :(

The most I want: Wis to AC, Bonus Feat, Unarmed Strike (prerequisite for lot of things, also with flurry it let me kick a lot of asses with hands full and without paying grits).
- Maneuver Master sounds good, as Gunslinger can trip by shooting and having extra defense for melee attackers is never stupid thing.
- Flowing Monk could actually be even better.
- With Master of Many styles I could get style feat I wouldn't get otherwise.

Also, I see Stunning Fist pretty useless, so I would replace it with something better.
- Sohei got Devoted Guardian, good when I expect many ambushes. Also, with Mounted Combat I could try be a pig riding dragoon.
- Kata Master gains panache, even with negative CHA I get atleast 1 point, which is enough to escape full attack after one strike.

I think Gunslinger get the best deeds at lvl 7, so I take at least those.
- With Dead Shot I do atleast some damage against enemies with lot of DR.
- And if make ready action to use Startling Shot after enemy turn, he will be always flat footed when not his turn. No saves! Rogue will thank you a lot, as anyone who would provoke an AoO.
- Targeting gets lot of options. One enemy, shoot his weapon or leg. Lot of enemies? aim for the head of the biggest and baddest and hope he will accidentally strike his friend.

And that is noteworthy suggestion, the last one. Hmm... maybe some cleric dip... nah... I hate being caster with hundreds of spells. I would spend the whole game weekend just to select, which spells I pray morning. I'm not good at making fast decisions. :(
Still, I'm going look at the other worship options, though she could still be lay me-mber.

Even with one level dip, Martial Flexibility gives one any feat 4 times per day for 6 rounds, what ever you currently need (if you meet the prerequisites). I think it is glorious!

The only disadvantage is that I should remember big list of feats to select the one when I need it. What makes character mechanism look a lot like cleric, but with spontaneous casting...

WIS to AC only works if you're unarmored. A chain shirt has +4 AC, so you should only take it if you have more than a +4 WIS modifier at level 1.

If you're going for a 1-level dip, use the Unchained Monk instead of the regular monk, so that you don't lose BAB.

I’m glad you found the idea inspiring. You mentioning a “pig riding dragoon” is an interesting coincidence since my goblin PC has established an island settlement where he’s crossbreeding humans and pigs to make pigman and manpig “for the glory of Lamashtu”. The idea of a goblin riding around on a pig or bat with a goblin-like head amuses me. Of course the goblin could also have an animal head. The RP possibilities for this stuff grow exponentially if your PC gets cohorts, familiars, and or animal companions. It wouldn’t be tough to pick up a useful mount with feats, multiclassing, or a VMC.

For instance, you can get a full power mount with 4 levels of Cavalier and the Horse Master feat. Combining that with fancy unarmed combat abilities could be tough though, so you might be better off concentrating on ranged attacks and picking up a pet or two to help you in melee. There's also a Gunslinger feat which would let you fire your gun in melee without suffering AoOs. Another mount option would be a Medium sized Mauler familiar gained with the Eldritch Guardian archetype for Fighters. If the DM will also allow the Trench Fighter archetype this might be a pretty effective build since that gets Dex to damage with one type of gun at 3rd level.

If you really want to do unarmed combat instead or at higher levels I wonder if Unchained Rogue might not serve you better than Monk levels, especially if you’re leery of having a Lawful alignment. You’ll probably be very Dex focused, so getting Dex to damage would be nice for your unarmed strike damage. You could also use your 2nd level Rogue Talent to pick up Improved Unarmed Strike as a Ninja Trick if you really need to have it for style reasons (else spiked gauntlets would work just as well)
