At 13th level, an Ustalavic duelist is able to apply his specialized knowledge of anatomy and physiology to his bladework. The duelist can make dirty trick (Advanced Player’s Guide 320), disarm, and trip combat maneuvers using any one-handed piercing or slashing weapon. This ability replaces weapon training 3.

You get the benefit of dirty trick, but trip and disarm seem to be completely redundant. Why was this printed? Was there a mistake and this was later fixed with errata? Anyone have insight, especially if I am just missing something here?

That is odd. I can't tell the intention as we both know the weapon can use the attacks.

Perhaps as a suggestion make the weapons treated as if the weapons used have the trip and disarm Qualities?

Other than that I can't suggest why this would be worth the replacement. Even more at the level.

"Using the weapon" has to mean using his weapon-specific bonuses.

Scarab Sages

It allows you to apply feats and your enhancement bonuses for the weapon to a dirty trick. Trip and Disarm are redunant, but the dirty trick usage makes the ability fantastic. I just wish you didn't have to wait so long for it.

I have no intention of using dirty trick, and I was hoping to discover something more beneficial to my build.
