Poisons?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Hello, i was just wondering if anyone new of a full list of poisons available in Pathfinder? This has a short list, but it does say that "The sample poisons listed below represent just some of the common poisons available in cities." So i was wondering how many more are there, what are they, effects, pricing, etc.?

That's a pretty hefty list.
You might find more by combing the bestiary for critters with poison bites, stings or other effects. The most iconic are already on that list (scorpions, giant spiders, wyverns...) but I'm certain there are many more.

In general, poisons are just not worth it though, on a strictly mechanical basis. They can be "fun" from a flavor standpoint, but they tend to be far more inconvenient when affecting PCs than when used against foes, who tend to have far shorter lifespans to begin with. <g>

Well, my character starts out with 400 gp worth of poison (via Black Sheep Apothecarist, and it is less so for combat use and more so to use in general RP it enhance her character as a sadist. So i was just wondering.

The "just a short list"-disclaimer seems more like it was just put there because it was in the original book, and to keep a loophole open so you (or later books) can add more poisons.
I mean, look at the sources of these poisons...
...wait, that's all Ultimate Equipment. Nevermind.

Here, have a link to the Archive of Nethys:
http://www.archivesofnethys.com/Poisons.aspx

That might still not be 100%, but it's probably still pretty complete.

The poisons probably haven't been completely compiled because they come from different sources (a lot of them).

I'm pretty sure Dirty Tactics Toolbox, Alchemy Manual, and Black Markets are all closed content books that all have poisons in them.

The list in the "Archives of Nethys" is more extensive (...to the degree of even including some (marked) 3.5 poisons), but I don't know if any (or rather, how many) are missing.

Depending on your gm opinion. ...
Drugs are effective poisons
