I have a question in the game.
in the Faction Journal Cards, with Sovereign Court i have a question.
- Fulfill one of the goals above without revealing your faction affiliation to anyone other than a present or future
member of the Sovereign Court.
without revealing your faction?
the question i have is this.
The faction is a secret?
Another player in the table can they know the faction the other player?

sorry for the delay, I'm on vacation and it was busy,
To effect to play, and as you say, the characters should not say to the faction they belong, then, factions are secret between them and all characters work for society pathfinder ?

Players can choose whether to say which faction they belong to, in or out of character (though other players may see it on the sign-in sheet). All characters work for the Pathfinder Society. The Society acknowledges the factions as friends and allies who often provide help for specific needs.
The character gets a faction success if he does not reveal his faction (such as by telling the party in character or openly talking about the faction when they are present). It doesn't matter if the players already know for other reasons. This means that the character can't usually ask for help with his faction goals from members of other factions, unless he is clever.

I have a character who has the Shadow Lodge icon branded/etched/embroidered/etc on some of his gear.
IE; a Shadow Lodge patch similar to unit/mission patches used by the military/NASA
Very conspicuous and not hidden. This character would never be able to succeed at a 'don't reveal faction' mission.
Most of my other characters are more circumspect about revealing their faction, it all depends on the faction and the character.
I have a couple that will never reveal their true factions, but are more then willing to 'confess' to other factions...
Back in the old days factions were more cloak and dagger... with individual faction missions, and some that directly conflicted, you NEVER* revealed your faction.
*most of the time...

Moet of the current factions are fine with making themselves known. The Sovereign Court is a special case, because there is a certain amount of secrecy and intrigue to what they are doing as a faction. If you are recruiting a spy, it's probably best you don't let anyone who is not part of the cause know you are recruiting a spy.
Plus, no one expects the Taldan Inquisition (ok, everyone expects the Taldan Inquisition...).
