I just came across an NPC that had Ghost Touch Bracers of Armor +2 . I was wondering if as a Monk, could he make attacks unarmed attacks against Incorporeal beings?
I know Weapon and Armor enchantments are different, but to me, this would make sense.
Except that every GM I've ever played with going back years and years has always treated Bracers of Armor as a Force Effect which works against incorporeal attacks...
From the item description: "Bracers of armor surround the wearer with an invisible but tangible field of force..."
So, assuming you buy into this, it provides its AC versus incorporeal attacks, but not against touch attacks (which people sometimes get confused about).
But, yes, whichever interpretation you use, the above posters are correct, it does nothing for your unarmed attacks. You need an Amulet of Mighty Fists with Ghost Touch (or one of the other work arounds) to get ghost tocuh to hit incorporeal creatures.

Can't disagree. Worst +3 bonus enhancement to waste on Bracers of Armor. Unless the NPC was incorporeal, themselves, I guess, since it would allow him to wear them...

That's something I always find humourous about this, the fact that you're covered in something solid to incorporeals but apparently the universe just forgets that it's solid if you ever make a punching motion.

But it cover the part of your body that you are using to strike?
If it is a continuous field of force covering all your body you will:1) suffocate as air can pass it;
2) be unable to drink, eat, speak, etc.
so we can assume that the field don't cover all your body.
Then "surround the wearer with an invisible but tangible field of force" don't necessarily mean that it is a bodysuit of force, it can be a hemispherical bubble surround at 1' of distance from your body and that will leave convenient holes for you manipulate objects and interact and reshape to adapt to the ground contours and actions like sitting, or several other forms suitable for defense but useless in offense.
Every GM and players can envision it differently.
