Bonus while mounted?

Rules Questions

I remember there is, or at least was, a rule that said a mounted combatant gets a +1 attack bonus against those not mounted. Is this in Pathfinder? I could be remember an older version of D&D but I'm not sure.

"When you attack a creature smaller than your mount that is on foot, you get the +1 bonus on melee attacks for being on higher ground."

A powerful and often overlooked rule.

You receive an Elevation bonus, yes.
