Stacking Cleric archetypes

Advice

Are there any?

Bump- anybody?

you can take multiple archetypes as long as they don't replace the same ability.

Yeah, but it seems that pretty much all the archetypes overlap and can't be taken together, with the exception of Variant Channeling. Practically everything alters or replaces the Domain ability.

Lantern Lodge

Then, no.

Use the table here.

#1 conflict: Domain
#2 conflict: Channel

Do you want PF only any 3pp as well?

SRD table lists no conflict with:
* Devilbane Priest
* Devout Pilgrim
* Hidden Priest
* Iron Priest
* Roaming Exorcist
And all of these can combine with Variant Channeling and/or one domain changer.

3pp adds, with some limits:
Avatar (Flaming Crab Games)
Disciple of Orcus (Frog God Games)
Filth-Priest of Tsathogga (Frog God Games)
Ascetic (Kobold Press)
Charismatic (Kobold Press)
Flagelant (Kobold Press)
Thematic Channeling (Paizo Fans United)
Kappa-Kannushi (Rite Publishing)
Pious Sentinel (Rite Publishing)
Idolater (Rogue Genius Games)

Can only have one of:
Avatar (Flaming Crab Games)
Ascetic (Kobold Press)
Charismatic (Kobold Press)

Can only have one of:
Avatar (Flaming Crab Games)
Ascetic (Kobold Press)
Flagelant (Kobold Press)
Pious Sentinel (Rite Publishing)

If you copy the table into a spreadsheet and use the filtering abilities, you can evaluate for yourself.

Cevah: Don't forget that as a result of this FAQ, officially, anything that alters the domain class feature in any way conflicts with all other such archetypes. I suspect this is what led to the original post.

As such, it's likely that d20pfsrd is no longer accurate when it comes to officially stacking archetypes.

I would not use the table to say what is OK. I would use it to say what is not OK. I would then read each selected entry to verify if it is OK with another.

The lists I provided was just the tip of the iceberg in determining which stack. But it does offer a much smaller research list than trying to check every one.

Fair enough. ^_^

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Hidden Priest and Iron Priest don't alter the domains. IP doesn't at all, HP alters the powers of one domain; you should be able to combine them with each other and/or with one other archetype.

Personally I find Archives of Nethys to be easier to check than d20pfsrd for things like this.

Silver Crusade Contributor

Correct on both points. (I've liked Archives better ever since d20pfsrd had to rename everything to be world-neutral.)
