Mythic Tiers and Psions

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Just completed an all day game that counted as the parties mythic ascension. The character I played is a Psion (Ultimate Psions) and looking through the Mythic book both spell caster paths specifically mention either Arcane or Divine spells for the majority of the useful abilities.

Anyone else had this problem .. what did you do? Any other advice?

You've got two options;

Mythic Psionics is the cheapest. It's by Dreamscarred Press, the makers of your Ultimate Psionics book. It has the most complete mythic options for you.

Mythic Hero's Handbook is more expensive and is slightly less complete psionics-wise BUT contains a bunch of other mythic material.

To be clear, Dreamscarred wrote the psionics chapter in the Hero's Handbook. Then they did a little more polish and added a couple more powers, and released that chapter under their own imprint as Mythic Psionics. I think Hero's Handbook has something like 95%+ of the content in Mythic Psionics.

There's plenty of material there that'll get you what you want. In fact, I just finished up playing Wrath as a mythic psion about three weeks ago. Fun, fun.

Disclosure: I did proofing/editing on both products (well, just the psionics chapter of Hero's Handbook).

In addition to what Anguish said, if you want to play with the mythic rules, regardless of whether you want to use mythic psionics, you should really get the Mythic Hero's Handbook for its "Mythic Class Features" and "Mythic Solutions", which fix a lot of the issues discovered in Mythic Adventures in more than a year of subsequent play. Frankly, after reading and using the MHH, I can't look at the original Mythic Adventures as anything but a woefully incomplete and unpolished first draft. The Mythic Hero's Handbook is the real deal.

cheers guys .. did not even realise they existed :)
