Would I be correct in assuming that the Vulture Demon's Before you act text, ( that you may not play boons that have the attack trait or weapons during this encounter) would not be mitigated by the Starbow's ability to override immunities?
If the Starbow may not be played, it cannot activate its discard ability is my train of thought. And also, the wording 'may not play' also isn't strictly speaking identified as an immunity.

I asked if the Archmage mythic power to ignore immunities permitted a character to overcome the "You cannot play spells with the Attack trait" monster power. Mike Selinker said No, it can only overcome powers which use the word "immune". The same logic would seem to apply.

Since the Starbow has no traits that usually trigger immunities in of itself. I wonder what corner cases are out there that this ability would actually be useful for.
It's a pity, at first glance it sounded awesome.
I wondered exactly the same thing for a while, until I hit the Incorporial Horror (I think it's called?). The one immune to Ranged, which is very bad for an Aerushale that has no non-ranged weapons.
Additionally, is super handy if you or your buddies have things that add to combat checks but which also add a trait that the monster is immune to (often poison).

Hey, that reminds me, I think there is still an open question about Steal Soul.
We know. That has proven to be a hornet's nest.
