All about Goodberry (Spells and Items with goodberry)

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Dark Archive

I decided to change things up a bit and instead of prowling the Rules Forum and discussing RAW / RAI, I want to take a step back and talk about one of my favorite spells in the game. It was difficult to come up with a single spell and I have a lot of spells I really like. But the druid is one of my favorite classes, and I was thinking Goodberry is very iconic spell for a druid and a spell that every druid has cast at least a couple times, if not daily. Goodberry first appeared in 2nd Edition D&D and has been a cornerstone spell for druids since, although it was strangely absent from 4th edition. It really hasn’t undergone many changes since its first introduction other than the wording, the spell itself effectively does the exact same thing in every edition.

The stranger found us lost in the woods starving, he had a handful of freshly picked berries, we watched as he passed an old craved stick, that still had living leaves on it, over the berries, spoke some sort of incantation in a language none of us knew, and then put his hand out to us in an offering. We each took some berries and hesitantly ate, after a few seconds we felt full from a single berry and our wounds started to heal. As we looked back towards the stranger he was gone. We were able to find our way out of the woods a few days later, the berries he gave us kept us alive for those days, he never said a word and we never saw him again.

A similar food stuff is seen in Lord of the rings, Elvish Whey Bread or Lembas. Though not magical, at least it’s not stated to be magical, the bread works the same way as goodberry, a small portion provides all the nutrition you need for a full day, it is also stated that a single bite will fill your stomach. So it is not unreasonable to assume that goodberry could also make you feel full.

Below is the base Goodberry spell from the PF Core Rule Book, not much has changed since 3.5, I updated the text to show all spell lists it appears on with new content Paizo has released for their Pathfinder Line.

Goodberry:

Goodberry

PRPG Core Rulebook pg. 291
School Transmutation; Level Druid 1, Hunter 1, Shaman 1, [Cleric 2 (Erastil), Paladin 2 (Erastil), Ranger 2 (Erastil); Source: Inner Sea Gods pg. 59]
Casting Time 1 Standard Action
Components V, S, DF
Range Touch
Targets 2d4 fresh berries touched
Duration 1 day/level
Saving Throw None; Spell Resistance Yes

Casting goodberry makes 2d4 freshly picked berries magical. You (as well as any other druid of 3rd or higher level) can immediately discern which berries are affected. Each transmuted berry provides nourishment as if it were a normal meal for a Medium creature. The berry also cures 1 point of damage when eaten, subject to a maximum of 8 points of such curing in any 24-hour period. [Druid 1 (Erastil); Goodberry can cast on nuts or seeds as well as berries; Source: Inner Sea Gods pg. 59]

Quote:

Mythic

Each berry provides a full day's nourishment and counts as 1 hour of complete rest for the purpose of removing exhaustion, fatigue, or healing nonlethal damage (at the rate of 1 hit point per hour per character level. When a spell or ability cures hit point damage, it also removes an equal amount of nonlethal damage.)

Augmented (2nd): You can cast the spell to affect only one berry, imbuing into that berry any harmless druid spell you have prepared. The spell remains stored in the berry for the duration of the goodberry spell or until the berry is consumed. A creature that eats the berry gains the benefits of that spell as if you had cast it upon her. The maximum level of the imbued spell is equal to half your tier, and you must expend one use of mythic power for each spell level of the imbued spell (in addition to the one use needed to cast mythic goodberry). Similar to imbue with spell ability, you can't prepare a spell in that spell's slot until the berry is consumed or the mythic goodberry spell ends.

This is a spell similar to Goodberry that came out with their adventure path line. Again basically the same concept of Goodberry just with a little bit of flavor.

Ironbloom Sprouts:

Quote:

Ironbloom Sprouts

Pathfinder #62: Curse of the Lady's Light pg. 75
School Transmutation; Level Cleric/Oracle 1, Druid 1, Hunter 1, Warpriest 1 (Torag)
Casting Time 1 Standard Action
Components V, S, DF, M (1Gp worth of powdered iron)
Range Touch
Targets 2d4 fresh mushrooms touched
Duration 1 day/level
Saving Throw None; Spell Resistance Yes

This spell functions like goodberry, except as noted above and that it transforms 2d4 mushrooms into magical Ironbloom mushrooms rather than transforming common berries into magical berries. Alternatively, you may create twice as many mushrooms, but each only has the nourishment ability of a goodberry and not the healing properties.

Revised / Homebrew
I revised the original Goodberry spell and added a new spell to sort of duplicate the mythic spell version, I cleared up the “provides nourishment as if it were a normal meal for a Medium creature” as there are no rules on what a normal meal actually means or how many “normal meals” a character must eat per day. Also tried to combine parts Ironbloom into the goodberry spell, and added in the Badberry reverse effect from 2nd Edition.

New Goodberry:

Quote:

Goodberry

Shadowlords Custom Spell
School[b] Transmutation; [b]Level Druid 1, Hunter 1, Shaman 1, Ranger 2, Cleric 2 (Erastil), Paladin 2 (Erastil)
Casting Time 1 Standard Action
Components V, S, DF
Range Touch
Targets 2d4 fresh mushrooms touched
Duration 1 day/level
Saving Throw None; Spell Resistance Yes

Casting goodberry makes 2d4 freshly picked berries magical. You (as well as any other druid of 3rd or higher level) can immediately discern which berries are affected. Each transmuted berry provides enough nourishment (food and water) to sustain a medium creature for one day. The berry also cures 1 point of damage when eaten, subject to a maximum of 8 points of such curing in any 24-hour period. Alternatively, you may create twice as many, but each only has the nourishment ability of a goodberry and not the healing properties.

The reverse of the spell, Badberry, causes 2d4 rotten berries to appear wholesome, but each actually delivers 1 point of poison damage (no saving throw) if ingested and drains the subject of a single days nourishment. If multiple Badberries are ingested, it could induce starvation. Badberries can be identified the same as goodberries, a druid of 3rd level or higher can immediately discern a Badberry, Detect magic with a proper spellcraft, arcane, or nature check can identify a Badberry, and detect poison reveals a Badberry for what it is. Badberry has the [Evil] descriptor.
(Both versions of this spell can be cast on nuts, beans, mushrooms or seeds as well as berries).

I really liked the Mythic augmented spell level 2 of Goodberry and its similar to the cleric level 4 spell Imbue with Spell like Ability so I created a similar spell for Druids involving goodberries. I kept the casting time of the cleric spell and bumped it up to 4th level as well, an argument can be made to make it a 5th level spell but I like it were its at currently. This spell currently makes the mythic version obsolete, but I hardly ever play in mythic games as it is, and really liked the ability. If I was to play in mythic games or wanted to make the mythic version valid, I would increase the mythic power of goodberry to a higher degree rather than take away from this spell.

Enhance Goodberry:

Quote:

Enhance Goodberry

Shadowlords Custom Spell
School Transmutation; Level Druid 4
Casting Time: 10 Minutes
Components V, S, DF, M (Goodberry)
Range Touch
Targets Single Newly Created Goodberry (less than an hour old)
Duration 1 day/level
Saving Throw None; Spell Resistance Yes

When cast on a Goodberry it allows you to imbue that berry with any harmless druid spell you have prepared and counts as 1 hour of complete rest for the purpose of removing exhaustion, fatigue, or healing nonlethal damage. The spell remains stored in the berry for the duration of the goodberry spell or until the berry is consumed. A creature that eats the berry gains the benefits of that spell as if you had cast it upon them. Only you (as well as any other druid of 11th level or higher) can identify what spell is stored in the Enhanced Goodberry. Any focus or components must be paid for and present for spells getting imbued into the berries and the materials are used up in the process, similar to making a potion or a scroll. Spells with casting times greater than 1 Round, spells that target mass, spells that have costly reagents, and spells above 5th level cannot be imbued. Spells imbued use your caster level and ability scores at the time of the casting to determine their strength. Similar to normal goodberries, you can only gain the benefit of a maximum of 8 Enhanced Goodberries in any 24 hour period. You can only have a number of Enhanced goodberries equal to your druid level plus your wisdom modifier created at one time, if you try to create more than that, your oldest enhanced goodberry reverts back to a normal goodberry.

Goodberry in Other Versions of D&D:

Below is the spell as it appears in other editions of Dungeons and Dragons, Namely 2nd, 3rd, and 5th edition.

Quote:

Goodberry

Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition Core Rule Book
School Transmutation; Level Druid 1, Ranger 1
Casting Time 1 action
Components V, S, M (DF a Sprig of mistletoe)
Range touch
Duration Instantaneous

Up to ten berries appear in your hand and are infused with magic for the duration. A creature can use its action to eat one berry. Eating a berry restores 1 hit point, and the berry provides enough nourishment to sustain a creature for one day. The berries lose their potency if they have not been consumed within 24 hours of the casting of this spell. (Dying people can be brought back with these)

Quote:

Goodberry

Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 Edition Core Rule Book
School transmutation; Level Druid 1

Quote:

Goodberry

Dungeons and Dragons 2nd Edition Core Rule Book
Sphere Plant
School Transmutation, Evocation; Level Druid 2, Plant 2, Ranger 2, Shaman 2
Casting Time 1 Round
Components V, S, M
Area of Effect 2d4 fresh berries touched
Duration 1 day + 1 day/level
Saving Throw none

Casting a goodberry spell upon a handful of freshly picked berries makes 2d4 of them magical. The caster (as well as any other caster of the same faith and 3rd or higher level) can immediately discern which berries are effected. A detect magic spell discovers this also. Berries with the magic either enable a hungry creature of approximately man size to be as well-nourished as if a full normal meal were eaten, or else cure 1 point of physical damage from wounds or other similar cause, subject to a maximum of 8 points of such curing in any 24-hour period. The reverse of the spell, Badberry, causes 2d4 rotten berries to appear wholesome, but each actually delivers 1 point of poison damage (no saving throw) if ingested. The material component of the spell is the caster’s holy symbol passed over the freshly picked, edible berries to be enspelled (blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, currants, gooseberries, etc.).

Goodberry has also appeared in other media, Games such as the Baulders Gate series and Icewind Dale Series, which used 2nd edition rules and 3rd edition rules.

Goodberry Items
The Only item Pazio has made for their pathfinder line that has goodberries in it or the goodberry spell a part of its construction (only item as far as I know), is the item that just came out with Pathfinder Unchained and is one of their new scaling Items

Fruitful Sash:

Quote:

Fruitful Sash

Pathfinder Unchained PG. 173
CL 5, Faint Conjuration (Creation), Slot Belt, 1 Lbs. – 710 Gp
This colorful sash seems to be the sort normally worn by any common sailor or traveler, yet within its folds is a bountiful pocket. The wearer can reach into this hidden pocket and remove a piece of fruit a number of times per day equal to his character level. The type of fruit varies. One piece of fruit has enough nourishment and water to sustain one humanoid for 24 hours. After 24 hours, the fruit rots and cannot nourish anyone.
Once removed from its wearer, the sash doesn’t produce fruit for anyone else for 24 hours. If redonned by its most recent wearer during that time, the sash resumes function normally (and the amount of fruit remaining within it isn’t reset).
6th Level: Consuming a fruit produced from the sash cures a creature of 1 point of damage as if it were a goodberry. A given creature can recover a maximum of 8 hit points in this way in a 24-hour period.
8th Level: Three times per day, the wearer can draw forth a large, ripe piece of healing fruit that explodes when thrown. This functions as a splash weapon, but cures a target it hits of 1d6 points of damage and cures each creature it splashes on of 1 point of damage. This counts against the total number of pieces of fruit the sash can produce per day.
10th Level: Once per day, the wearer can draw forth one piece of fruit that acts as a Potion of Cure Moderate Wounds, delay poison, lesser restoration, or remove paralysis. This counts against the total number of pieces of fruit the sash can produce per day.
13th Level: The fruits produced by the sash cure 1d4 points of damage each instead of 1 point. An exploding fruit’s healing power is unchanged.
15th Level: Once per week, the sash can produce the effects of heroes’ feast.

Construction Requirements: CL 5, Craft Wondrous Item, create food and water, cure moderate wounds, delay poison, Goodberry, heroes’ feast, lesser restoration, remove paralysis, Create Food and Water, 6,000 Gp

Version 3.5 for their Eberron campaign had this item.

Goodberry Wine:

Quote:

Goodberry Wine 5 Doses

Five Nations 3.x Supplement Book
CL 1, Faint Transmutation, Potion / Drink, ½ Lbs. – 250 Gp

Druids living in the Greenhaunt (a forest in northern Breland) were the first to create and sell goodberry wine, which is often packaged for travel in small clay jugs. Prior to 994 YK, goodberry wine was sold only in the Brelish hamlet of Hatheril. However, it has gained popularity since the formation of the Mournland and can now be purchased throughout the Five Nations.

A jug of the wine contains five doses, and each dose cures 8 (or 2d4) points of damage as well as provides one day’s worth of nourishment (Food + Water) for a creature up to huge size. An imbiber benefits from only one dose in a single 24-hour period; drinking additional doses of goodberry wine or eating additional goodberries during this time has no effect.

Construction Requirements:
CL 1, Craft Wondrous Item, Brew Potion, Goodberry, 125 Gp
Spell Level (1) x Caster Level (1) x 50gp (Single Use, Use-Activated) x5 (5 Doses)

My Homebrew Items

I wanted to create an iconic Item for a druid, based off the goodberry spell. It has undergone quite a few changes through its creation process and I have posted it once before on the forums, since then I made some changes based on the critiques I received.

Goodberry Item:

Quote:

Everlasting Fruit Vine

Shadowlords Custom Item, Designed for Druids
CL 4, Faint Conjuration and Transmutation, Slot Less, 1 Lbs. – 1,200 Gp

Looking like a small cluster of grapes cut from the vine, these uniquely colored grapes each taste and feel like a different, random, fruit but are no bigger or shaped differently than a normal grape.

The Stem has enough spots for 10 berries to grow and once picked will be replaced 24hours later as a new berry at a rate of 2d4 (5) berries a day. These magical berries each provide one day’s worth of nourishment (Food + Water) for a Medium creature. The berry also cures 1 point of damage when eaten, subject to a maximum of 8 points of such curing in any 24-hour period. The Berries Last for 24 Hours once picked before losing their magical quality. To remove a berry from the Vine takes a standard action and to eat it takes a Move action.

Berries do not easily come off the vine and stay on even through vigorous motions, such as being swung around at the top of a staff. One of two ways to remove berries follow:
A druidic phrase is needed to remove a berry and so that it retains its magic. The phrase can be taught to others, although not it’s meaning.
To remove a berry from the vine, Druidcraft must be cast on the berry and it comes off with ease and retains its magic.

Construction Requirements:
CL 4, Craft Wondrous Item, 4 Ranks Knowledge Nature, Druid Craft, Goodberry, 600 Gp

Growing Rules:
To grow this unique item a druid must gather up seeds from all the fruit plants that it wishes the berries to taste like, at least 4 different seeds need to be used, as well as 600 Gp worth of unique soils and fertilizer. Growing takes 10 days and during that time the druid must water it and cast Abstemiousness, Goodberry, Druid Craft, and Plant Growth, every day on the plant and tend to it for 4 hours a day. During this 4 hours a druid must attempt a Nature check DC 20 every day or the plant dies and all materials are lost and must start again, at the end of the 10th day the druid must carefully cut the fruit cluster from the plant (DC 25 Nature). Once cut the rest of the plant dies in a matter of hours but the cluster of fruit will forever remain ripe. It is possible to grow larger fruit clusters, in increments of 5 total berries on the vine and that grow an additional 1d4 berries per day, for each increment it takes an additional 5 days and an additional 300 Gp worth of materials.

Planting the item when it has all berries grown on it will enable you to add more types of fruit to it, and/or grow a larger one. This growing time takes 5 days if you are adding more seeds to it, all that is required is to plant the item with the seeds and care for it during the 5 days as if you were growing it the first time without needing Nature checks. If you are making a larger one you must get and pay for the Fertilizer and soil as normal and tend to its growth as if growing a new one. You can add more seeds to it at this point as well.

Other Lore:
If a druid plants a berry from the item in ground that has fertile soil and in an area that can support plant life, tends to it for 1 hour, it will grow into a plant that grows that type of fruit, the plant will grow quickly, grow larger, be more bountiful, and last longer than normal for that type of plant.

The vine is often affixed to a staff, weapon, or other object and does not impede the items normal use. The vine can serve as a holy symbol or Divine focus for Druids, Rangers, Shamans, Hunters, and Clerics or Paladins of nature. If the vine gets sunlight and water every day the berries taste better, but this does not increase or decrease the power of the item in anyway.

This item is a very common item among Druids, Rangers, Hunters, and Shamans, it is quite difficult to come across for anyone else and are greatly sought after by others. A Druid, Hunter, Ranger, and Shaman always knows what type of fruit a berry is going to be. If the item is acquired by someone by illicit means and a Druid discovers this, the Druid will attempt to recover the item or destroy the item without drawing attention to himself.

Destruction:
The item can be destroyed by fire or spells that rot food. The berries can be crushed, although not as easily as normal berries or grapes, the stems cannot be broken or easily cut, so accidently destroying the item is not possible. Even smashing the item does not destroy it.

Druid Craft is a 0 level spell in 5th edition, I put it here in a respect to only druids being able to craft the item.
Quote:

Druidcraft

Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition Core Rule Book
School Transmutation; Level Druid 0
Casting Time 1 action
Components V, S
Range 30ft
Duration Instantaneous

Whispering to the spirits of nature, you create one of the following effects within range.

• You create a tiny harmless sensory effect that predicts what the weather will be at your location for the next 24 hours. The effect might manifest as a golden orb for clear skies, a cloud for rain, falling snowflakes for snow, and so on. This effect persists for 1 round.
• You instantly make a flower blossom, a seed pod open, or a leaf bud bloom.
• You create an instantaneous, harmless sensory effect, such as falling leaves, a puff of wind, the sound of a small animal or the faint odor of skunk. The effect must fit in a 5-foot cube.
• You instantly light or snuff out a candle, a torch, or a small campfire

I have used numerous items to now come up with my pricing of my item here are a couple I used, others I used I could not find specific sources or versions for them so I will not list them:
Pearl of Power – 1,000gp
Fruitful Sash – 720gp – 5 people fed per day – Pathfinder Unchained
Everlasting Rations – 350gp – 1 person fed per day – 3.5 Heroes of Battle Pg 132
Sustaining Spoon – 5,400gp – 4 people fed per day – 3.5 Item and Pathfinder, Ultimate Equipment Pg. 332
Ring of Substance – 2,000gp – 1 person fed per day (I still argue the best benefit from this ring is the reduced requirement for sleep per day)

This next item is still heavily a work in progress but I thought I would share what I have so far. This is designed to be a really rare, hard to find artifact like thing for druids, it could or would also serve as a kind of holy site of nature for druids. Its current name is kind of just a place holder until I find something better.

Goodberry Bush:

Quote:

Goodberry Bush

Shadowlords Custom Item, Designed for Druids
CL 10-15, Moderate Transmutation, Permanente Fixture in the terrain, 10-200 Lbs. –12,200 Gp or Artifact

This plant can look like anything, from a patch of grass, some vines, to a giant Oak tree. It can also change the way it looks over a series of days

A goodberry bush can only be grown in a region that doesn’t have one already and needs permission and a Ritual spell from the Grand Druid of the Continent otherwise the planting fails.
To create this plant it requires four 10th Level Arch Druids who each plant their Everlasting Fruit Vines along with original seeds of all the fruit plants used in all their vine creations. The Vines must each be level 4 Vines (20 Goodberries per vine) and have all Fruit on the vine during planting. It also requires rare soil and fertilizer from 4 different parts of the world, seeds and plant pieces from all the plant life in the region and unique reagents costing 10,000gp total. The planting and growing process takes 3 Months, during that 3 months each druid must separately spend 4 hours per day tending to the bush, DC 25 Nature, and casting a variety of spells on it each day and together at midday for 4 hours and again at midnight for 4 hours conduct druidic rituals around the plant. After the first 3 months the bush no longer needs tending and can continue growing on its own. After 1 Year the plant starts producing Goodberries. The area around the bush takes on the characteristics from some of the spells cast on the plant during its growth, as the bush gets larger the area of effect grows larger as well.

A single berry takes 5 days to grow, but each bush can sustain a number of people every day without issue depending on bush size.
After 1 year the size is about 1ft x1ft (Tiny sized) and produces about 5 berries per day and the bush can hold around 50 berries total. Area of spells 10ft away from bush.
After 5 years the plant is about 3ft (Small Sized). 10 berries per day. Max of 100. Spells effect 20ft away.
After 15 Years the plant is 5-7ft (Medium Sized). 25 Per day. 250 Max. 50ft Away
After 25-30 years the plant is 9-12ft (Large Sized). 50. 500. 100ft
After 50-100 years the plant is 15-20ft (Huge Sized). 100. 1,000. 200ft
After 500-1,000 years 20-30ft colossal size. 250. 2,500. 500ft

Druids can tree stride through goodberry bushes as if the spell was transport via plants by just touching the plant and focusing on another goodberry bush or region
Druids can commune with the bush and focus on it to “see” the surrounding area of the current bush or focus on another bush else were and “see” that area (if a druid is in the area, he gains the knowledge someone is attempting to see the area and can permit or prevent it from working). Area is equal to bush’s spell area x10. Druids can also speak to other druids through the bush.
The Bush Can hide and disguise itself with any surrounding, Cannot be found if someone other than a druid is looking for it (could be standing right on top of a colossal goodberry bush and not know it)
A small Natural Spring is created in the area of the bush that constantly generates clean fresh water
The area around the bush has a more forgiving climate and the plant generates berries all year long, (lesser degree of endure elements)
The air is also sweet and clean surrounding the bush and poison gasses are dispersed seconds after entering the area.
Goodberry Bushes can be grown in any terrain and climate including underwater, underground, and desert (Although in the case of a desert it will either become an oasis, or a gathering of desert cacti, bush’s, and other desert plants.
The bush is intelligent and alive and can slowly move around, (inches per day) it can also cast spells. (These spells are often times buffs, and are transmitted through its berries)
The Bush is protected with a constant endure elements and has fast healing 2 and regeneration 3, it is also protected from pressure damage. It is Immune to Cold, Acid, and Electricity.
It is resistant to fire. Fire will only make it smaller (to tiny size), but will grow back to full size in a matter of a few years, progressing with other plants in the area.
Plants in the surrounding region are also more protected from the elements and grow faster and healthier.
Berries Picked from the bush lose all magic after 10 days and are just normal berries after that and will go bad at a normal rate.
If every berry is picked, fresh berries will grow and be ripe after 5 days
The “Berries” can actually be any edible plant life. Fruits and Vegetables. And the bush itself can grow any number of different kinds of fruits and vegetables at one time, sometimes looking like a large diverse garden when in fact it is just a single plant.
The Plant can be planted and grown onto or into a Trent but the bush cannot grow bigger than 1 size smaller than the Trent, if the Trent is killed but not completely destroyed by fire, the goodberry bush continues to grow unimpeded were the Trent fell and the intelligence and consciences of the Trent is transferred into the bush.
All manner of Fey are also drawn to an area with a goodberry bush and can find it with ease as it is a unique connection to the first world or fey wild. They will actively defend it from those that seek destruction on the bush or area, even if it is druids. But will leave alone travelers or those who happen to come across it and don’t illicit any ill intent a pone the plant or area.
A druid will lose all his druidic powers and cease to be a druid if he ever willfully and purposefully reveals the location of a goodberry bush to a civilization

Some spells required for creation
Create Water, Abstemiousness, Goodberry, Druid Craft, and Plant Growth
Grove of Respite, Kiss of the First World, Speak with Plants
Life Bubble, Oasis, Hallow, Awaken, Enhance Goodberry

Destruction.
Requires All the Arch Druids in the Country, The Great Druid of the country plus 3 from the surrounding countries. An Item and some Spell Components from the Grand Druid of the Continent. And a Unique Ritual Spell from the Hierophant Druid of the world. The Ritual is written on ancient bark from the oldest goodberry bush Trent and enchanted with ironwood. Only the Hierophant knows the specifics of the spell, the ritual changes for each goodberry bush. The ritual takes 24 hours to complete. If the goodberry Bush is older than 100 Years the Grand druid and all Great druids under him must be present to complete the ritual and it doubles the time of the ritual. If the bush is older than 500 years, the Hierophant Druid is required to lead the ritual and all Grand druids under him must be present the ritual take a week to complete in this case. The number of spells and spells required to be cast during this ritual change for each bush. But each druid will end up using most if not all of their spell slots for this ritual each day.

Goodberry is the best early-mid game curative spell when using the wounds and vigor alternate rules. Everyone needs a Druid in the party!

My fav part of the spell? Is that it nourishes the creature for 24 hours. Much more effective than create food/water.

Also, the fact it has a Mythic version makes me chuckle.

Actually, it first appeared in 1e Unearthed Arcana. It may have been in BECMI as well.

Liberty's Edge RPG Superstar 2008 Top 32, 2011 Top 16

I'm also a fan of goodberry, which inspired the Plentiful Pouch in RPG Superstar 2011.

Why has no one made the exploding fruit effect of Fruitful Sash, its own spell or item?
A Splash healing effect.

Seems appropriate for 2nd level Druid.

Maybe improve it so both direct hit and splash heals caster level more (Max +5).

You mean like anti-Fire Seeds?
