Just checked what happens if I change shipping method. Standard postal delivery 8.18 USD
UPS International 55 USD...wtf?

the UPS International is a competitor with USPS Priority International, not standard postage. The big deal is it's quick and there's tracking.

If you want cheap, you're best off sticking with standard.

I'll stick with USPS Standard. Waiting is not an issue, but 50 bucks are.

Be wary of the expense!

UPS International also charges a "brokerage fee" which can rival the duty/import tax on packages.

This has caused us some issues in the past at work (shipping shoes, not sure if cards would be different).

Yeah, I found that whole email misleading, it implied it may be cheaper, it is cheaper than the priority shipping, but that isn't saying much. UPS also nails folks with brokerage fees that boarder on abusive, making the shipping price look good.
