Summoned banes should go back into the box.
Does this mean that summoned "Undead" banes (either naturally, or due to something like the Cemetery) cannot be used to trigger the Traitor's Lodge scenario card power that adds boons to the scenario as a goodie bag of rewards.
I'm guessing the answer will be no. The summoned bane is returned to the box, so there is no option to shuffle it into a random open location.
I guess you could still look at and display a card, it will just get banished straight afterwards. Sad faces all round.
Because the rulebook says summoned cards never go anywhere but back in the box and the golden rule says cards can't trump the rulebook when the rulebook says never, you can't shuffle it into the location deck. So you can't apply the power.
If just for kicks you want to look at a random boon, sure, you can do that.
