How to make Bardic Masterpieces actually good?

Advice

Title. I play a lot of bards, and have done extensive research into finding a reason to play one of these instead of Inspire Courage or whatever. At one point I condensed the incredibly long activation times by making them into "scrolls" through the Pathfinder Chronicler, but they were still incredibly situational or flat out bad...

Are there any plans for these thing to be reworked or...something? I love finding things to add new twists or flavor to a Bard, but these are generally just not worth it...at all.

I'd start by hitting up this thread and FAQing it.

Getting clarification on how masterpieces (particuarly long duration materpiece) work with other bardic performances is important for making them useful. That's probably all the re-work they need, really.

Triple Time is pretty good utility out of combat.

Battle Song of the People's Revolt opens up a lot of options. Lookout right before an ambush gives your whole team a full round action in surprise. Outflank is a nice buff, particularly with some crit based allies. Tandem Trip, Escape Route, and Paired Opportunists all have situational uses. Coordinated Charge is crazy good in the opening round. Target of Opportunity is a big gain in an archer group, Broken Wing Gambit is good for melee groups, etc. Stealth Synergy flips the odds on group sneaking almost completely, if you can keep your performance from drawing attention.

Edit: Requiem of the Fallen Priest King seems completely worth it too.

Pageant of the Peacock is crazy good, even more so with Pragmatic Activator.
