Deific Obedience and Demon Lords

Advice

I was wondering if, rule wise, you could take the feat Deific Obedience, and proceed to level in Evangelist, Exalted, or Sentinel while worshipping a Demon Lord.

My concern with this is that the Demon Lords aren't deities, but they can be worshipped as such. The Lord I'm specifically looking at is Nocticula, and whether I could take the Exalted PC after 5th level.

Up to your GM. If there isn't an obedience than you can't take it.

If your GM is PFS, the answer is no.

The Exchange

The feat "Demonic Obedience" appears in Book of the Damned vol 2: Lords of Chaos. It offers a series of boons similar to what "Deific Obedience" does in ISG. The Demoniac prestige class grants early access to those boons like the ISG prestige classes.

I would look at this class as your first route to do this. If your GM is OK with it you could possibly do one of the other prestige classes. (I personally would be OK with an Exalted of a demon lord because exalted is the "default" series of boons. But you would be using the boons in BotD2.)

I allow this. My perception is that Demonic/Celestial Obediences evolved into Deific obedience's (rules wise) and they are functionally the same.
But ask your GM, when playing in a game run by someone else I asked rather than assuming my ruling would hold

As far as rules are concerned, if they can provide divine power to a worshipper, they are a deity.
