Is a 45-foot cone possible=

Rules Questions

I've seen plenty of templates for all sorts of cone-shaped area effects, from the more common 15- and 30-foot cones up to more extravagant sizes like 60-foot cones. I've never seen a template for a 45-foot cone, though. This might be a silly question, but is this shape somehow not achieve-able on a square grid?

It's entirely possible, just hugely uncommon. Most cones are fixed size, and the people writing them go for the common ones you mention. It's entirely feasible for there to be a level-dependent cone size somewhere, which would be the most likely source of an unusual cone size, but I can't think of any off the top of my head.

Edit: See dragon breath weapon sizes for a selection, though.

I might have this wrong, but a cone covers a 90 degree angle area up to 45 ft out, counting all ways of directly getting there.

On a 60 ft cone, all of the end points are 60 ft. out.

A Gun Scavenger Gunslinger can put scatter on any gun. That means a 40 ft. cone for a musket. As for the mechanics for how that works, the scatter shot has no range increments so it can only shot out to 40 ft. with scatter.

The Atom Gun also has a 40 ft. cone.

If you suffer from unusual cone size, ask you Chirurgeon about Conicyte!
