Dedicated Voter Season 9

I don't see it as DQ worthy. I do find it doubtful that a re-submission will be more successful the second time around without significant overhauls however.

But you can't submit what you don't own.

It's not like Paizo is developing all the not-selected ideas submitted here. For that matter it's not like they sue people for IP infringement when a 3PP product releases something similar to a submission. If people want to work on an idea year after year let them. It's less DQ worthy than work-shopping and that's pretty standard.

I know we've DQ'ed repeat submissions in the past. Not sure if that's still the case this year. If so, it would be in the submission guidelines. The reasoning behind disallowing it are multifold, but at least one key principle is to invent continuous design growth and creativity. A Superstar designer should always have more than a single good idea. And, if they're tinkering with the sane thing year after year, it's usually not a good sign for running the race.

So if they submitted an item in a previous contest and then received feedback from the critique thread (or anywhere else on the forums), would it be a DQ for not being:

You mean voting is only supposed to be waiting for the timer to expire and click on the one I think is the shiniest with no real thought involved?

I have been doing this wrong for years apparently...

Exactly! All is forgiven if you get in line now with everyone else.

On a more serious note, prepping for Pacificon and attending a Weird Al concert will eat into my voting time significantly. Okay, Weird Al isn't that serious...

Best Superstar-related typo ever.

Yep. That's what I get for posting from my auto-correcting phone instead of my home PC. Didn't catch the typo quickly enough to edit it out. :(

It's been a busy, stressful day at the office. :/
