So I have this build for an Eldritch Guardian utilizing a greatsword and a familiar with the Mauler archetype. I played around a bit and saw that this build could be pretty devastating, but I wanted to get any second opinions.
The focus is to maximize the amount of dice in the first attack of the round while trying to maintain a decent amount of mobility and versatility in attacks.
These stats were at roll:
Human Eldritch Guardian
Str- 19 (17+2 Human Racial)
Dex- 15

+3 Growing Impacting Adamantine Greatsword (Expensive but worth it for the dice.)
Why the familiar? Because I figured with Vital Strike, I'm sacrificing my multiple attacks for one very powerful one. If you take an Imp, or later on with Improved Familiar(?), your familiar's Battle Form boosts size and strength to a medium creature giving +10 Str and -4 Dex. Not to mention +1 Str every other level starting at 3.
Give that Imp a greatsword and he can use every combat feat you have, regardless of pre-requisites. Allowing you a second chance of attack if your's whiffs.
What I'm stuck on is if I'm missing something and what end-game feats should I throw into the mix? I thought about taking Improved Familiar at 17 looking for a Consular Imp, but I'm unsure.
Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated. ^^
