Attention: The intention of this thread was to take cool items and add curses to them, such as taking a ring of gnome conjuration and saying a cursed version summons kender. I've been informed that this is against the rules. Big goof on my part. Hopefully this thread will be locked soon, but in the meantime, harken to my example and learn from it! Did I use "harken" right there?

If there is any chance that people can tell what the original item is i wouldnt do this.
Can someone clarify this for me? I wasn't under the impression we weren't allowed to reference items we see on the forums. As long as nobody self-identifies (which is an unlikely danger, since voting has already started) there's no real problem I can see.

Its considered very very VERY bad form. Imagine making something you cred a great deal about and then watching people trash it and not being able to say anything. It also says on the voting page "Do not discuss individual entries on the messageboards during the voting period.
If you see forum posts discussing specific entries, please flag them as "Breaks other guidelines.""

This is certainly not trashing, and only an extremely sensitive creator could interpret it as anything other than affectionate, but I hadn't seen that rule. I was going by the existence of list threads and assuming vague discussion was fine (I also mentioned my intentions yesterday and didn't get any pushback on it, so I assumed there was no problem). I apologize, and am currently removing the posts. I got a bit over-enthusiastic!
