Oracle of Flames vs Pyrokineticist

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

So now we got 2 masters of fire.

Simple question, which you think is the best Pyro and why?

Personally i still prefer oracle...she still gets flight, get some awesome abilities, and access to the feat Glorious Heat which allows you to heal AMD buff slightly while burning lol

The Oracle is a full caster so it will be a stronger character overall, but if you are looking to make a character entirely based on an element I don't think you can beat Kineticist.

The Kineticist has all day blasting in ways the Oracle doesn't, the Kineticist can control fire and use it for doing tricks and things.

What makes the oracle better isn't things that are fire related. So that makes the pryokinetic a better pyro but a weaker character

I think the Kineticist edges out the Oracle in terms of raw damage, since a Pyro can get more modifiers added onto the base damage, but a Pyrokineticist can't match an Oracle for versatility. Flame Oracle really has one spell per level that they'll spam, while the rest can be normal, solid divine list spells. I also think Kineticist wins on style points, and it requires much less finagling to get sort of baseline effectiveness while also avoiding the curse at lower levels. It'll also (hopefully) get a lot better once more splats come out with further options for the class.

I'd probably point a new player at being a Pyrokineticist over a Flame Oracle, at the end of the day, if the player just wanted to light stuff on fire from day one.

The oracle can be cheezy and dip a level of cross blooded sorceror.
