[PFS] How to defend against glitterdust

Advice

Sovereign Court

I love glitterdust. When I'm using it. Nontrivial save, no spell resistance, works on almost every kind of monster.

When it's used on me, not so funny. If I'm playing a non-high-Will class, what can I do to protect myself from this? I've got money to buy items.

Grand Lodge

Potion of remove blindness

Scarab Sages

Smoked Goggles: 10 GP. +8 to saves vs visual effects, but you have a 20% miss chance vs everything. Get Blind Fight if you plan on wearing them all the time.

Blind fighting feat?

Which does give a little known benefit of Improved Blind-Fight. Makes it so there's no reason not to wear Smoked Goggles all the time.

Well, there is still the -4 to perceptions checks. That's a pretty big drawback, potentially worse than the miss chance.

Fair enough. Depends upon the character then.

Just reminded me of the blind character I played in 3.5 who was inherently immune to all vision stuff. (Not viable in Pathfinder since they combined Spot & Listen.)

Hmm. I think smoked goggles might get in the way of a Goz Mask. I suppose I could carry an extract of remove blindness though.

The Goggles/Improved Blind Fight route is intriguing though.

It's a pretty strong conjuration effect with few counters. You could attempt a Dispel Magic to remove it, but I am not sure if you can remove entire area effect.

Surmount Affliction works too and is a level lower than Remove Blindness.

Anyway, the list of things my alchemist loathes has been expanded to include Displacement. It's been a while since I missed that many attacks in a single adventure.

I found a work solution: a Seeking bow.
